12/7 PBE Update: New Emotes, Loot Assets, & Tentative Balance Changes

Ok, Hold up now. Ornn’s got further changes on PBE now?

> HP regen per level increased from .16 to .18 > Base AD increased from 67.72 to 69 > Living Forge (Passive) > [New] Now grants an additional 10% bonus Armor and Magic Resistance from all sources. > Item upgrade level requirements tweaked

So, now we get more armor and MR as part of our passive (that passive is getting bigger and bigger). Don’t get me wrong, it’s interesting, and will help him with getting his resistances up to tank and encourage tank builds. It seems out of nowhere though. This..isn’t really a bad change, but what comes with it bothers me.

> Volcanic Rupture (Q) slow changed from 40/45/50/55/60% to 40% at all ranks > > Bellows Breath (W) damage changed from [10% + .5% per level] to [12% + .5% per level]

Ok, so reducing his CC and buffing his damage even more than you already were? It appears this is referring to the Brittle procs, but this means that rank 1 W + Brittle will chunk an enemy for 24% of their max health, reduced slightly for MR. Say they still run W max, so rank 9, his Breath will be 16%, and Brittle will be 16% as well, so around 32% damage trades. Add in hitting both parts of R + extra auto for two more procs, putting him at 64% pre MR just by W and Brittle procs...and that’s just at level 9. If he hits level 18, around 77% pre MR. I know this was brought up before, but that’s insane for 2 skills on a tank, on Ornn no less. Isn’t that a bit overkill on a tank? Not even pre-nerf Sejuani was hitting that with her combo.

I might have to set down the hammer and anvil more often at this point. Not the Ornn I fell in love with.

Maybe they should revert the w the whole max health damage has in my opinion made him harder to balance.

Man remember when riot actually balanced having large amounts of cc by having sucky base damage and sucky base tank stats Nautilus

Also I don't get why they took the effort to "un-overload" his W, only to give his passive 3 unique effects effectively overloading it

And why are they still trying to make his W rewarding? Did they forget there's this cool combo of Q+E that ornn has, that actually takes skill to pull off, has actual counterplay, and is actually unique?
