Janna should have to pay for her mobility

No one should get this free. Blitzcrank has to spend mana to chase people, and now you actually have time to punish him if he misses you. Meanwhile Janna gets free MS for herself and her team all game, and she has just as much CC as Blitzcrank. Anyways, this isn't about comparing Blitz to Janna. The point is that every support that gets a MS boost has to pay mana to use it or purchase mobility boots. Janna doesn't have to to this, and she offers more CC than most supports. Janna needs to have some sort of weakness, and I feel like right now she has none.

What? Remember that she loses ALL of her own speed when she uses W. She trades her speed for the ability to slow a single enemy for a few seconds. During that downtime, she's crippled in the mobility department.

It's a somewhat different system than most movespeed buffs. Janna's mechanics for this are very nearly reversed; she pays mana in order to slow down both herself and one enemy, rather than paying for the initial speed buff.

You're comparing a passive to an active. Why would she lose two passives when she uses her W? Blitz doesn't lose his mana shield to speed himself up.

You didn't read the OP. I clearly stated this isn't about comparing blitzcrank to janna. This is about Janna's passive. I just used blitz as an example since he is another support with MS and CC.

Janna has plenty of weaknesses. She lacks that thing Blitz has, damage. She's extremely squishy. You can bully her lane quite well due to the fact that she does lack damage and relies on the AD to do the heavy lifting.

Stop saying she gets her passive for free too, everyone does. It's part of their kit. Blitz gets a "free" mana shield. Nami can give "free" movespeed boosts. Leona gives the AD "free" damage!

That's definitely true. I was a Janna player for quite some time before these changes went through, and I was definitely happy to receive what I viewed as a net buff. 8% feels so much better than 5%, even with the new restriction that limits it only to allies moving toward her.

Those changes helped to push her into a more defined niche. Her new passive is made to lead the charge, whether that be in a retreat or during an all-out attack. If she wants to use her passive in an offensive manner, she has to put herself at risk by being on the front lines (and there are very obvious reasons that she doesn't want to be there).

Her passive is now more interactive and offers some actual gameplay. Combined with the shifting of her previous 5% passive into her Zephyr passive (which means that 5% is now lost upon using Zephyr, rather that always being up), the changes exaggerate the highs and lows of her kit and play patterns. She is potentially stronger than before, but also has to play more carefully in order to bring out the new advantage to the fullest while avoiding her now-emphasized weaknesses.

you're dumb. she has plenty of weaknesses... -Her Cds are fairly high minus E so she only favors poke trades -Morgana can just be picked and she cant do anything to stop the enemy laner she's literally useless to protect her adc.. -she's super squishy so if you have like annie graves she's dead before she can react...

Why not just complain about a real problem instead of whining about a champion you dont have the mechanics to deal with. Like the login glitches atm where you have to reload the client like 5 times to login..

No, she can keep her other abilities. Just get rid of her passive. Give her a new one that isn't just free MS.

I don't get why you complain about Janna. If we're honnest here, why don't we talk about Annie's insane poking distance? Oh, sorry. She has been nerfed. Vayne's stupid passive when she's at 2.5 ATS? Darius' ult that does 8xx true damage? And you sir, complain about a passive. I think I saw everything from League's community. Lewl.
