experienced zyra players, help me

i mean i mostly play her in aram when i do get her, but im actually interested in the champ. for me its really hard to judge how to play zyra. usually i end up being in the top 3 of damage dealt but i dont even get how or why. i swear my plants tend to attack minions, they die so fast even if i ult them. but somehow i end up doing tons of damage.

im not even sure what to build, rylas and liandrys feel so weird.

also is there a single reason to plant my e plants once i got rylas?

Until Riot fixes her Plants AI and HP issue their is little reason to play her.

In ARMA she is fun and will dominate because of the AOE damage she can dish out and you have a Full team.

Riot forced her out of the Role she was suppose to be in (Midlane) and is the only reason she is Bot (as most mages i bot are)

She was my first main (was Plat MMR) but then Riot killed her like Monsanto.

Dont invest much into her until Riot actually fixes her.

which ones are the E ones? melee or ranged?

if they are the melee ones the lashing slows targets down (from what i remember)

while the ranged ones are more well... ranged.

torment is a Yes since her damage is continuous

Hello, I am an ex Midlane Zyra main (D3). Zyra is a strong champion, but the main problem is that plants will die instantly. When it comes to her combo, its E+W Q+W, or if you have ult its E+W+R Q+W . That way they wont get out of the CC which is kinda long. Liandrys and Rylais is a good combo. It means that every plant attack will slow the champ and apply the burn. I personally think, that she still get more from magic penetration, and sometimes rushing void staff when they have tanks is good, since even when they build magic resist early, you will do damage. I would suggest to play her as a control mage, which she was always meant to be. Rabadon second item is good, when you are ahead and know what you are doing, otherwise go for zhoniya or abyssal scepter :).

Well, I can suggest you to watch some good zyra players like this one https://www.twitch.tv/d0rkls/ ... I know there is one Korean that is better but he is not streaming anymore on any platform anymore

About the items like liandrys is no question that is the item that gives you the most damage believe it or not but that items can stack up to 10 times 2% damage on max HP on damaged target that is slow impaired or cc is insane on her rylys gives you the slow to stack it faster and deal more damage

As I said you can watch some streamers that are good on her like the one I posted here and try to recreate what he is doing ... its way easier when you see it that read it

Hey Arammus! :D So I play Zyra a lot in the Support role and sometimes in Mid if people need to swap. When it comes to items, what was already been mentioned is a good example of how to build her: item 3151 item 3165 item 3116 item 3853 item 3135 and then the last item can be your choice if you want to get item 3089 or something defensive/supportive. I mostly go full damage because along with her plants being easy to kill, so is she since she’s an easy target - unless you get the jump first.

Zyra 2020 definitely needs to happen though with some minor changes/enhancements and a bit of an increase to her damage.

But overall, you can also search on Google “Zyra Mobafire”, and look for the guides with the most votes/most helpful. Also using YouTube is a great tool to view how other Zyra mains/Pros are playing her.

How I play her is that I make sure I’m timing my roots correctly, especially if you can see the enemy jungler making their way towards you. I RARELY ever summon a Vine Lasher. When I’m making the jump on a incoming unexpecting enemy, or group of them, I’ll: E>R>Q+W. Try to place seeds apart so your plants aren’t easily destroyed in one spot.
