Remove Kleptomancy

This isn't a suggestion or a question anymore. You've nerfed champions who rely on this stupid rune to the point where they have to use it, and it doesn't fix the fucking issue of the damn thing.

Let me give you an example:

I just had a game where I laned against a Gangplank. We traded a bunch (as will happen when a guy keeps shooting a pistol at you) and we were both forced to back right at level 4. He had gotten a total of 10 gold from Klepto and 3 items. He returned to lane with a full sheen and he had gotten a total of 120 gold from klepto. On top of farming minions he was also an entire minion wave ahead.

How do you play around that? How is that fair? These are rhetorical questions of course because the answers are "you can't" and "it isn't", even in the opposite direction.

I had another game where the Gangplank scored a total of 3 items during lane phase total and only got 100 gold by 15 minutes because his RNG was so bad. He understandably ended up fairing much worse against me.

This doesn't make the game fun. It doesn't even make it fair. When this champion's getting nerfed because he's a nightmare to deal with on the off chance that the game gives him the favor with one rune, that's called piss poor balancing. This rune is unarguably a mistake - I legitimately can't fathom why you would put an RNG based rune in the game when a universally accepted issue with the game is the crit mechanics and that they're RNG based.

That's like knowing fire would burn your hand so you stick your dick in it instead.

Yes, we all know GP is a bit overpowered atm and he is getting nerfed next patch.

Using Klepto doesn't give you the stat bonuses other rune trees would. Problem is, GP doesn't seem too bothered by the lack of stats, hence the nerfs.

Just wait for the next patch.

I like how it's Gp being talked about but whats worse is a Draven with Klepto. Once he gets his stacks and has klep the gold lead he has is insane. I fought against him and he came back with a full item while I was still only at half and from there SNOWbballs so hard.

I only use GP because he's who I lane against as a top-laner. I have seen the Draven kleptomaniac. He is an asshole.

Your problem is with GP and not klepto

No, my problem is most certainly with Klepto. As a toplaner, Gangplank is the most often case I have to deal with and that's why he's the example - because two very similar games showed vastly different results.

Any other champion that viably abuses klepto will show similar results because klepto as a concept is inherently flawed. Champions forced to be balanced around this rune will run into a distinct issue that goes like this:

If the champion doesn't take the rune, they are completely unviable without it since they've taken repeated hits to compensate for their overbearing power with it.

Now they have to take the rune, the issue being it is completely random whether or not the rune will be generous to them or not. Using the champion at all now boils down to nothing but a gambling game and removes power directly from the player - it is now up to a generator whether or not this player can even excel in the game to begin with, let alone even break functioning.

That is the issue with klepto. Balancing around a random number generator is a completely flawed practice.

Klepto is a great example of why I think so poorly of Riot's balancing team. Zero common sense.
