We need more "tank only" items

Assassins buying stuff like tabbi, guardians, maw, etc is stupid. They're supposed to be squishy.

And? By your logic every single champ in the game is a tank because they have base armor and MR right? Those are tank stats right?

No they aren't. Every champion has armor and magic resist, the same way they all have attack damage. There's a difference between getting a little bit of armor to help win trades and building tank.

They are defensive stats. Every class can get those. Tanks just have a LOT of the defensive stats. That is the difference.

Its like saying that tanks shouldn't be allowed to build Titanic or Deadman's because they give offensive capabilities.

By that logic:

item 3812 item 3814 item 3146 item 3139 item 3116 item 3072 item 3071 item 3074

Those are all tank items because they give tank stats (Health, MR, Lifesteal-- which gives health--and Armor), and any champion who builds them is a tank.

Your logic is the result of Chernobyl. An irradiated mess.

Welcome to Game Knowledge 101:

Zed built Black Cleaver (before the changes).

Edge Of Night was made for AD Assassins and is Merc Scim with a channel and a longer shield.

Rylai's was made for Mages.

Gunblade was made for multiple classes.

Lifesteal was made for dueling champions/right-clickers.

No their suppose to kill squishies.

And what happens when you have enough damage to kill said squishies? Anything on top of that becomes needlessly redundant. (When people say the Diver's damage falls off late game, that doesn't apply if your glass.)

And they are not like ADC's who's role and itemization, practically requires them to build glass cannon. (And they only have like 3 lethality items, so they don't have a ton of Assassin items to build into.) They have enough freedom to dabble a bit in defense if they like.
