@Meddler, A question about item interactions with Gangplanks Barrels.

So they way I thought Gangplanks barrels interacted with items, is that they apply Physical sheen effects (item 3057 item 3078 item 3025 ) And benefitted from Crit chance (and item 3031 passive ofc.) And that was it. I was looking for a cheesy/fun build to use on Gangplank, and I was looking at item 3042. Muramana's ''shock'' passive applies on Single target spells and attacks. I went to the LoL wiki and looked at GP E's tooltip. The way the damage is calculated:

If Gangplank scores the last hit,** the triggering attack** is splashed as physical damage to surrounding enemies, Slow icon slowing them for 2 seconds. Explosions ignore 40% of their targets' armor, and enemy champions take bonus physical damage.

So I started to think, does Muramana calculate it as an attack, or as an AoE spell? AFAIK, the Shock passive isn't an on hit passive, it applies on Single target spells and Attacks. I got kinda confused and took a look at the ''additional information'' on the wiki

Trial by Fire's damage will not be splashed. Critical strikes against a keg will splash critical damage. Physical Spellblade effects like Sheen or Trinity Force apply to keg's damage, while magical Spellblade effects like Lich Bane or Runeglaive don't apply to keg's damage. The latter also applies to not procing the magic damage passives of Kircheis Shard ,Statikk Shiv and Rapid Firecannon; Luden's Echo is the one exception (which cannot be proced by a normal shot by Parrrley).

So according to this, Magic damage on hit effects are not applied to Powder Kegs, but it doesn't say anything about Physical damage on hit effects... So my question is, Do powder kegs apply physical damage on hit effects like: item 3153 item 3074 item 1416 item 3748 ? I was honestly convinced they did not, but now I don't even know anymore :l (and if they don't, is Muramanas Shock passive considered an onhit effect?)

There was a thing awhile ago where Lucian's Q applied the single target damage to everyone in the AOE (its a single target to cast). Im not sure if this was a bug or intended, but it was never strong enough to justify building anyway. Its possible GP's attack might be handled the same way. Instead of asking here try it out in a custom and report what you find!

I know it wouldn't be worth building anyway, but It might be fun to make a build with :P I might try the interactions out in a custom game, but Muramana gives more ad than Manamune because it has a passive that gives you AD scaling with your mana, and Muramana gives 1000 mana while Manamune gives 250

Did you ever try it out? I'm curious

No to item 3043 because it only applies when you're attacking champions (your'e attacking the barrel sadly). As for the hydras, the on hit effect applies where the barrel was.

That makes sense... I'm still confused why the tooltip specifically mentions his E doesn't apply Magic damage on-hit effects like item 3087, but they don't mention anything about physical damage on hit effects like item 3153 or item 1419
