I love playing Skarner, but I always do bad early game. Like how am I suppose to be playing him? I try to play passive but whenever I see the enemy jungler in one of my passive areas I can't help but attempt to 1v1 him, which I always win, but then I chase like an idiot. Is 1v1ing a mistake as Skarner early? I don't really even expect an answer to this cause no one plays him lol
Skarner has good jungle clear, but he's not all that good at 1v1's against most other junglers. If you see those passive aeas be taken by the enemy, use that to your advantage and predict where they'll e and where you should be.

I'm level 5 with him, though admittedly I stopped playing him.
Skarner needs 2 things to be a threat in 1v1s early: sheen and tier 2 boots.
I play Skarner in top lane, and he has been my favorite/most played champ until the juggernaut update. Even still, Skarner for me had always been a scrapper. With his juggernaut kit, I recommend maxing E, W, then Q. You want 1 point in each early, but max E first.
-bigger slow -more initial damage -lower cooldown means more stuns -better early ganks -better peel -better disengage
Q is just a glorified sheen proc since they removed every other benefit from it.
