BAM! Pyke gets nerfed into the ground before release.

One Change pretty much nerfed Pyke into the ground, currently on the close to release Pyke:

Death From Below (R) Bonus AD lowered from 140% to 60% damage increased from [185 - 620] to [190 - 655] Full damage, scales from level 6 on [190/240/290/340/390/440/475/510/545/580/615/635/655]

Bye bye Mr. Scary Pants.

Huh it's almost like that ability is totally busted. Hopefully this nerf will be enough.

How is that a "nerf into the ground"? That dudes ult was stupid to even have been the way it was before coming to the pbe

I mean, a 140% ratio was absurd, and made it way more important to buy straight AD and snowball, which also meant lane Pyke was just straight up better so you can farm for faster buys. Even with the nerf he'll probably still do fine with the lower income, but not have as massive a disparity from a solo lane Pyke.

Besides, its PBE, "PBE Content is tentative and subject to change - what you see below may not reflect what eventually gets pushed to live servers at the end of the cycle! Manage your expectations accordingly."

Still a very strong ultimate though, sharing gold is so powerful on its own.

Btw I don't consider something nerfed into the ground if it isn't even live. It's been adjusted through playtesting.

Aoe darius ult that resets and can execute enitre teams under half hp and is a gap closer and gives bonus gold to carrys, like just listen to what it does, do you really want something that stupid in this game lol.

It was necessary. The threshold got way too high. Being able to execute squishy targets even if they have more than 1000 up left (which is half their entire half bar) was just way too extreme.

Glad they did that.

I kinda posted that already..

Thank christ you mean. That number was busted.

Well now they also actually could put power elsewhere in his kit if he turns out to actually be properly underperforming, as opposed to people trying to force a square peg in a round hole.

Let's face it, his design is a really bloody weird one to intentionally try to facilitate, so his balance is going to be a hell of a bumpy ride. (I'm still surprised that they've tried to make another version of Culling Blade tbh.)

It's an ultimate ability, yes, but a 0.6 bonus AD ratio is more fair in my eyes. Maybe it was hit a little too hard, losing pretty much over half its damage is rough no matter how you slice it. It's been hit, but it's still a chunk of AoE damage, that temporarily resets on kill though. The gulf between good players and bad players would have been positively insane.

With its scaling being lower it'll now be a bit less overbearing to go against (there's still the threat of instant death even if you're reasonably health), but also it'll make the players have to be a lot more deliberate with how they use it, instead of spamming it almost off CD.

And here in this part of the Safari gents we have the belly achers belly aching about a great champ. These creatures feed off the bronze elo and are nourished by the facts that Riot actually wastes times and listens to their pleas for a nerf to a great champ.

Have we forgotten that if it doesn’t execute it still deals physical damage equal to the threshold? He was able to ult, NOT get the execute, but still deal LOTS of damage. I leave this open ended...

xSightlessx5/22/2018, 9:42:09 PM1 votes

CONGRAGULATIONS! You now have to tactically use his ult that still hurts a hell of a lot. Its not nerfing. Its, say it with me, balancing.

That's not a nerf, his base damage is higher. Like what? It needs to be halved.

At level 15, Nami's base HP is 1470HP, (you better hope she's not behind either), at level 15 Pyke does 580 base damage. That's 40% of Nami's base HP.

Seriously, HALF IT.
