but he's probably the best designed character in this game perfect match between visuals and gameplay, fills a clearly defined niche no other champion approaches, and endlessly versatile. he's rarely weak enough to feel useless and rarely strong enough to feel unbeatable. every death against teemo is the result of a clear mistake, and even when players don't feel that way in the moment, mushroom deaths are at least funny. no other single champion can add as much variety to a match as teemo.

Yeah, I get a lot of hate, playing Teemo. If they're on your team, they think you have no late game potential. If they're on the enemy team, the mechanics are annoying, and simple, so they feel like they've been cheated by a no-skill champion. What they don't realize is that you have to think like the character to be successful; Teemo, on the battlefield, is a cold, calculated killer, who plans his enemies' demise. Teemo's kit requires game knowledge. You have to know when to blind, you have to track where people are, and set traps where you think they'll be caught off guard the most to go in for the kill. Your ult gives you vision, and the ability to set a nasty trap to unwary opponents.

As much as people disagree, I think your assessment of good champion design is spot on.
