pigs flew, hell froze over, and I actually got a game this season that wasn't a massive snowball in the favor of one team or another

...until 24 minutes, at which point one (one!) standard mid lane skirmish between two pretty much evenly matched teams turned into three turrets, two inhibitors, and the game, all during the forty five second respawn timers that kept three people out of the game entirely. this was never an acceptable event an hour in, when it used to happen, but for a game to be immediately decided by one early-mid teamfight is absolutely fucking ridiculous. I was finally getting games that lasted more than 20 minutes, and just when it seemed like things might be looking up, riot throttles the game even harder.

I don't feel like "late game" exists anymore unless you're super fed. Like out of my past 20 games, the average time is somewhere around 30 minutes and I have gotten to full build once. The last time I remember I was telling my friends that "I'm full build and have so much extra gold, I wish I could give some of it to you guys", was back in S5 after I had an elixir, an upgraded trinket, and I enchanted my boots. Now I just feel robbed of game experience; I love getting to full build and it feels great when you hit full build first among your friends. I feel like S6 has become more of a Team Deathmatch style of game with 3 little bits of wadded up pieces of paper in each lane, a pretty underwhelming lizard, and a the Game Thrower 2000.

Step #1: Buff all ADC items.

Step #2: Make towers completely worthless.

Step #3: Make minions stronger the farther ahead your team is.

Step #4: Make death timers exceedingly long.

Congrats, you now have a game that almost never lasts longer than 25 minutes. Riot seems to have a thing for really short games.............it's almost as if they WANT to pander to the lowest common denominator.

I mean...previously, whenever they did something stupid, we'd call them out on it and either it would eventually be at least half fixed or something else happened to make the apparent incompetence seem more tolerable.

This season? It's like they're intentionally trying to piss people off for some reason. Is the new project almost done? Are you trying to force people to be disgusted with League so they'll more willingly try your new game out Riot?

Hey Rito: I've said it before, and I'll say it again: WE DON'T WANT HEROES OF THE STORM! HotS is a crappy little no-strategy team-brawler for Blizzard Fanboys. STOP COPYING IT. We want a real-time strategic MOBA that lasts 30-45 minutes, where more than one strategy (split-pushing) is viable, provided you play to that team-comp's win-conditions. And if it goes longer than 45 minutes, even better! #80minutesthedream

So shorten those death timers and buff up the turrets a bit. The longer the turrets last, the longer the game goes.

Its all about the split pushing this season, so play fast running assholes that are hard to kill and split push top lane.

My go to champions for that are DrMundo and Singed. Yes, I'm one of those people.

I like season 6 so far. We get free cash shop stuff, can play rankeds with more than 1 friend, Tanks finally do something other than stand on top of the adc to confuse him and masteries are finally worth a damn.

I gave up on the season as in rank play. I get to stress out not worth it. Just tagging along in normal play until there is a final answer about all this. If riot wants rank play to be more popular and played then changes need to be made. To me it is a season lost and not here. A shame to. But oh well. I support the game and positive features but not there rank nor there pro series this season. But I am only one voice and how many players play? That's why so much of this is over looked.

Part of the problem I've noticed. As someone who prefers to play tanky tops is just how absolutely screwed ap itemization options are right now for mages. It's not simply a matter of ap item choices in general. Many build paths are also extremely clunky compared to their ad counterparks who have both more options and smoother build paths. Meaning champions like Zed etc not only have better items to build into, but have less awkward backs and the capacity to snowball that much easier against mages. It's something I've noticed just on a few forays into playing a mid mage and it's goddamn awful. I feel for traditional mage mid mains right now.
