I see you guys have a lot of issues with this champion in particular, and I figured I could help by spreading my knowledge about her and maybe stopping some misconceptions. If you have a questions do ask and I'll answer to the best of my ability.

Learn to line up jungle monsters to make the clear as fast as possible. You can also kind of leash them like a ranged champion but I think that takes too long.
For golems just stand to the left or right of them, for wolves pull them slightly with Q so they all bunch up.

A simple path for beginners though is to start gromp, go to wolves then do blue. This should be doable with 1 health pot so you can immediately back to get your trailblazer.
junglerboy161 votesI saw someone a few days ago post a clear route that instead uses Krugs first and by using a combination of Q and E you can soft leash and get really frequent stuns off (because E does on-hits and gives so much AS). Have you tried that idea out or is it just inferior to starting Gromp (especially with the changes to gromp next patch making it scale off of bonus HP instead of with level)?

AD bruiser is typically the best build from the jungle. Not because she can't go damage/assassin (AP or AD), but because of what people need out of a jungler in this meta. You'll hard pressed to find even the assassin junglers like Kha go full damage, they typically build 1 to 2 (or sometimes more) tank items to act as their teams front line or backup to the front line.
However it all comes down to playstyle, if you enjoy AP assassin more then you should use it.

Funny you should say AD is unreliable because I think it's her most reliable solo queue build. AP has a lot of risk involved and is generally a very comp dependent and greedy build.

What's your build and rune/mastery setup? Every time I've tried AD it's generally ended pretty shitty because after the initial engage there's damage lacking. Or maybe I'm stuck in the assassin mentality of playing her.

AD doesn't instakill like AP does (although AD can with trinity, botrk active and chilling smite, but you gotta be ahead for that), but AD just sits on an adc as they try to hopelessly run away from the mach 5 Eve trinity procing the hell out of them. She does do a lot of damage, you just kinda learn to use it I guess?

I think it's kind of problematic right now, but with mandrake ward it should be much easier to manage.

No questions here but glad there are still some of us. I played her heavily during the beginning of the season but now I use her as a niche pick to try and snowball games easily. Been playing a lot of Sejuani lately and I can't wait till tomorrow when she gets buffed although the bans might come in eventually. Eve might have it more rough than she has it now next patch but the invisibility is still strong if you know how to use it.

About the same or lower, I do have my other reliable junglers and I don't think Eve is even that much worse in solo queue. I'm also extremely well practiced with Eve so that gives me an edge.

The main problem I have when I play with her is whenever I get behind, it becomes extremely hard to stay in the game. She really needs to be ahead in the game to be useful. I think my last game with her, I got counter jungled so hard by lee sin, and was behind, and couldn't get back in the game. I feel like she needs a good team to be effective. As you can see in my last game, we had a really good leblanc, but our ADC wasn't that great (we also had a Taric top vs. vlad), and I was behind, and we lost.

While Eve can be feast or famine, she isn't THAT feast or famine. I feel like your issue is more fundamental than champ related. You should try to farm more and gank less (as odd as that sounds for eve). Only go for ganks with a really good chance of getting you something, and if you're behind just powerfarm your jungle because eve is so damn good at it.

I'm not really a fan of jungling. I also used to play Eve in lane a lot (top or mid), which I did pretty well with. Mid is obviously better since you can gank easily. Top is also not that bad, depending on the matchup. She does really well against Nasus top because she basically negates his wither, and her ult is very useful against him during a jungle gank. The only problem with her going top is most top laners farm basically all game, which doesn't let her roam as much. What I try to do is get the jungler to fill in for me top when I'm roaming, but it's hard to coordinate when you're in solo queue. I much prefer playing her in lane, but I don't do it as much anymore because people complain too much. Last time I went mid with her, my teammates gave me so much crap, but I ended up going 9/4/6 and we won the game.

Q is better 100% of the time. No reason to start with E.

AD bruiser, I build trinity into tank.
You gank lanes by baiting them into engagements, Eve has very few tools to force ganks so you really wanna catch them doing something dumb.

I rush trinity force first item, then my jungle item. The trick to not dying is to engage at the right times, use your stealth to your advantage.

I run Trinity with Magus for CDR and superior punch on my abilities to do tons of damage during the mid game.
Devourer is a fun build, but Eve shouldn't be going for delayed powerspikes.
