"We can win"

Yeah we're only down 4 dragons, 19 kills, 9 towers, 2 inhibs, and (without doing math, shot in the dark) at least 10,000 gold (My guess is ~13,000) against a team that scales better than we do.

Can people PLEASE stop trying to live the dream of the dynamic comeback, and learn when the game is over and not waste so much time making people more and more tilted from a lost game? I know we hate people who throw the "FF at 15!" when the enemy gets first blood, and that's salvageable, but this isn't.

Insane teamfight comp, with both Malphite and Illaoi, great poke, nice mixed damage/tankiness, and all champions scale well.

Meanwhile the enemy team have Pantheon in the late game, and most of the rest of the enemy's kills are on one person (Diana). Kill lead isn't too bad either.

You can win.

But you didn't, I guess.

General Esdeath 9 votes

two junglers who need to farm to scale, and we have no vision and towers. Yeah Shyv can catch up.

So basically this is just a rant, and you do not actually want to discuss anything or learn from this game. I see. For real, this game is still winnable. One good malph/Ill ult combo and their whole team is dead. At this point you play smart and defensive until they try to push tower and get a wipe on them and push mid. Probably take two good pushes. The win is unlikely, but very doable. I saw several games like this just this week, some for me, and some against. One game they even had nexus turret down and we still won. The death timers get to a point where this is doable. Super minions give you extra farm. And for some reason, teams love to throw when they get ahead.

Craft Zeppelin10 votes

Oh so the autofill ap malph that has no sightstone denies shyvana from farming. Shyvana has no ad at all, actually she is helping Yi by making him heal off attacks and resetting his ult, ezreal has no boots, building iceborn against DIANA PANTHEON YI. What is he going to kite exactly?

This is not ranting. This is a legit complaint. The team is not building to win in any way.

You the type of person to keep pressing no at ff before 20, make me throw an internal fit and keep me in a game for 10+ more minutes than I want to. Then, when we eventually lose and I blow my cap at how you wasted unneeded time, you blame me for being "negative" instead of yourself for being delusional.

Anags22 votes

Dude their team comp is garbage in a team fight. They have malph ult and xerath stun as their only real cc.

Ezreal is behind with a horrible build. I mean Xayah can avoid the malph ult easily and its gg after that.

They don't even have enough cc to deal with Yi.

Also kill lead isn't everything. Level lead is huge along with cs. They have a poke comp with no peal which can easily be run down and crushed by the other team comp.

You can say any game is winnable I guess. Maybe they dc or throw insanely hard. But to say have a good team fight comp is funny.

TheThundersRoar1 votes

Yeah no shit, Ezreal is garbage and they're horribly behind. That's why they couldn't get it together and win.

But their teamfight comp is 10x better than the other team's even if it's not perfect. The other team have a fucking Pantheon at 34 minutes. All of their gold is invested in Diana. What the hell are they gonna do against a good Malphite ult on 3 people plus Illaoi and Xerath with AoE? If Diana dies right off the bat, the team is pretty much down on gold. Ezreal and Pantheon are useless, and the rest of the fight is 4v3 with an Illaoi and probably a gold advantage with Diana dead.

It's possible without a throw, just a big outplay. They just weren't able to pull off any outplays big enough to cover the big disadvantage.

Anags1 votes

Dude,

Xayah is farmed. Thresh can just lock people down for her and they can kite out the team if they don't just steam roll them. Who is going to kill Xayah? No one, Malph ult wont' do it either. Then you have the problem of the Yi with ult just cleaning up after they blow their load.

You can kill Diana. Thresh and Xayah will be more of a problem in a team fight. Odds are Diana is gonna kill someone instantly before or as she dies anyway.

And if Diana dies they aren't down gold. Xayah is at 3 items and will do a ton of damage. Yi is sitting on 4 complete damage items and they have a thresh with locket and redemption. Sorry but I'll take that any day over the OP's comp.

If you think the OP's team has a better team fight then go ahead but you are crazy.

coulda easily won that if you stopped tilting and kept your head in the game instead of whining to your teammates to give up and ff

General Esdeath 7 votes

I didn't tilt, I kept farming. Tilt would mean I can't play the next game without getting angry about last game. I kept farming, kept trying to poke from a distance and stun Yi, but we just got pushed in more and more.

Craft Zeppelin11 votes

This is hillarious. Tp thresh support with no unsealed spellbook, "tank" Yi, versus the losing full ad illaoi, "tank" shyvana with almost zero hp bonus, ezreal with no 2nd tier boot and being slaughtered, the legendary autofill ap malphite support with no sightstone.

How many memes can this game spawn with one match.

Your team comp is 100% better then theirs. Could of won it if your team had any type of strategy to it.

Spank the Fox1 votes

Team comp doesn’t mean shit when you’re 10k+ gold behind and your team is so whipped by the enemy Diana/Yi that you question whether every engage will be a 1 for 4 trade.

I had a team comp where we had Zyra, Morgana and Varus. Should be an easy win, right? NO. Team comps help, but they are just one area in many ways to succeed in LoL.

AgeOfTheMage1 votes

this ^^ I know people hate it when we refuse to surrender (don't worry, I surrender when I know we can't win) but if 2 people say no, that means at least 2 people have confidence in you and your team :I

NekoniClaws6 votes

I particularly like when, as the enemy team aces you and starts evaporating your nexus turrets, one of your never-surrender players starts the FF vote.

You see it now? NOW? Really? This is when you figure out how spanked we are?

I'd say I win maybe 1 in 10 games where I wanted to FF, tops. The other 90% of the time is an extended slog where our teammates scream at eachother. I think losing that extra 1 in 10 is worth not sitting through that toxic environment (unless ranked).

MagicalDemons6 votes

Sometimes I don't surrender even if I know its a lost because i'm having fun.

Keeping 4 other players as prisoners. Cool.

If you have so much fun while losing then I suggest you BDSM, I think you'll love it ;)

Leetri2 votes

If the 4 others want to surrender they can, you only need 4 yes votes to surrender.

MagicalDemons1 votes

It's a game, and if i'm having fun i'm not going to surrender.

Beerstein5 votes

I'm tired of people like you OP. Not only could you have won, you coulda still stomped if you cooled your damn head and buckled up. Your team comp was definitely superior late game. It's this tilting we can't win thing that generates losses. I've won 4v5 while people tried to surrender, I've had a game that looks worse than that SS and came back and won. Also, I'm only counting THIS season and have played like 20 games?

On the other end, I've had a game like yours where my team surrendered that I'm positive was going to be a win, but we had too many people with your mentality that surrendered.

In addition, we're both crap and in silver 2-3 so don't give me the "It's not the same down here" bs line.

@nm1010 it's more about two things, the team composition, and where your team weakness is. If you're only losing because you're focusing the wrong objectives even though the enemy is way up in kills, these are super easy wins if your team refocuses. Honestly, even a lot of bronze has basic meta down, probably everything above bronze 5 even.

This game should absolutely end in 1 way unless the enemy team fucks up multiple times. They should

A) Get vision control on baron

B) Do the baron or kill the enemy team if they contest with their gathering storm double fire dragon Xayah + nearly full build Diana

C) Walk the minions into the base and take all 3 inhibs, enemy team has minimal wave clear and is too far behind to fight them.

Super easy wins my ass this is 100% a decided game with a BASIC understanding of how to end a game. As I said you can win if the enemy team loses their brain for the next 30 minutes, but counting on that is like not finishing a project at work/school and hoping the boss/professor is sick so you get an extra day. It may work one out a 100 times, but counting on it is unwise at best.

Relying on your opponents being bad is never a reliable or engaging way to win. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out Xerath is the only real wave clear and you have 2 inhibs down so you should go do baron. Like I said you can hope they suck for the next 30 minutes and you manage to win 1/100 times, or you can just go play another game that relies on your skill for whether you win or not.

It's Silver, it's about learning, and learning to take advantage of your opponents being bad. His team has a pretty good shot in a team fight if they KO the 0 defense Diana.

nm101010 votes

it's about learning

They fucked up, lesson learned. Staying in the game doesn't teach anything except that being shit stomped means you most likely lose the game.

learning to take advantage of your opponents being bad

That's great before they are so unbelievably fed that you are playing farm simulator until they get baron and walk into your base to win.

His team has a pretty good shot in a team fight if they KO the 0 defense Diana.

With no vision or map control getting a jump on Diana is unlikely, not to mention the double infernal 3 item Xayah and/or 5 item Yi is also a pretty significant threat.

Like I understand you like to think that "every game is winnable" means "I should drag every game out as long as possible because I could maybe possibly win". But sometimes you should just let shit go and play a new game with a fresh slate.

OP, you should never give up!.

Stuff like this happens if you just try x)

https://imgur.com/a/0I44E

I was like 0,4,3 in lane, 30 CS under lucian.

But team held on, somehow, and turned it around, then 1 won teamfight later at baron and the enemy team, despite not having lost any t2 turrets and 30-40 sec spawn timers just quit, team was down on all towers outside base and 1 base tower and 1 inhib.

Some dragons too if i recall.

And still, the above happened.

Sun Wu Ryuumoku1 votes

its not same situation (ur team know how to build their pick, and victor/oriana top mean at some times they'll be unable to hold toplaner...)

Thefrostyviking3 votes

My team was wacked left and right for the first 20 minutes, we lost all our first towers within 16 if i recall, and 1 base tower+inhib within 25.

Hold toplane? We didn't dare to splitpush, at all, as should our CS counts prove x)

What went down, was endless a lot of running around, making picks and some teamfights.

My team didn't win any of the first ones, but we got lucian to bail out each time and the same or even nailed ori and viktor, although at least 3 of my team always dropped for it.

But we managed to stop the pushing, and hold on.

Then we had one good teamfight and the enemy team just gave up right away, my team had taken like their outer towers and nothing else if i recall.

What happened, is that my team made a huge show of running towards baron while clearing wards, enemy team thought we were doing it for real as zac and i last showed ourselves onto of baron hitting it.

They fell for it, hook, line and sinker.

We had in fact run down into the river bush, and stood there as 3 of them tried running by and we nailed 2 of them pretty quickly and lucian right after while the 2 latercomers ran away.

And just gave up, after winning 4+ fights in a row, one loss just made them give up.

It was kinda pitiful.

Not that you can't come back from that... but your team probably isn't skilled and or coordinated enough to do so.

The only person on the enemy team who scales is Yi. Panth actually falls off HARD.

Your team has an Illaoi, who can dumpster entire teams just as hard as Yi can.

You still have 2 full nexus turrets. Illaoi has her ult.

Yes. You could win.

General Esdeath 4 votes

Panth is going for the late game build. item 3748 item 3071 item 3812 tanky items

Illaoi got CC'd every time by Thresh and Panth, then focused by Yi and Diana.

Our nexus turrets were the only one left while we took none, we'd have to push for 40 seconds straight with everyone up to push back.

That's not our game to win, it's theirs to throw.

People throw all the time. Especially under double nexus turrets. I main Master Yi. I have won games with a half health nexus where I respawned and 1v5'd the entire enemy team and then pushed and won. Throws happen all the time.

(And Panth doesn't have a late-game build. His kit is an early-game kit. He always falls off.)
