He is a pain if you are in the lower elos just because the fact people don't undertand how to play against him.
I literally cringe whenever someone says something like this. It ignores a very real dynamic that is present in all non-mirror match-ups. There is an imbalance in necessary skill for each person to win lane.
I'll use myself as an example. I'm Bronze. I main Azir. I have over 300K mastery points with him which is a fucktonne of games to play on a single champion. I understand his strengths and weaknesses quite well. Of course vs say...a plat or maybe even a high gold player, I'm probably shit but in Bronze, I'm God. I can usually win my lane and many times, I get can get fed. Point is, I'm comfortable with him in my elo.
Put me vs another Bronze who's only played Fizz like 5 times and he'll bend me over and finger my rectum while grinning before busting a nut on my face. All my fancy tricks can't help me because it takes far less skill for a Fizz player relative to an Azir player for him to win lane. This means that my skill level has to be very much higher in order for me to have a chance.
A simpler way to put it would be to say something like a Bronze Fizz = Gold Azir or something like that.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining or anything. I've accepted that I'm not as skillful as I like to believe and I absolutely cannot win vs Fizz with my best champ. I ban him every time I get the chance and its not like he's picked often if I don't get to ban him. And if I do have to fight him, I just hope my team can carry after I've fed him like 5 kills.
Anyways, kinda went off there. Point is, some champs require more skill to counter relative to the person playing the champ.
