You know why almost every Precision user takes Coup De Grace?

"Additionally, you gain 9 bonus Attack Damage or 15 Ability Power (Adaptive) for 10 seconds whenever you score a champion takedown."

That's why. I guarantee you if you put that same passive on Cut Down and Last Stand people would take them more often.

Or better yet, if you just removed it from Coup De Grace.

Why not add the bonus to the other 2? All 3 of them suck without the bonus AD/AP. According to the end game stats they provide too little damage to make a difference.

no

because a) Cut Down is garbage unless the team has multiple health stackers but CDG is always valuable

and b) the people who could use Last Stand don't normally opt into Precision, but this will change next season when the stats get separated from rune pages.

the people who could use Last Stand don't normally opt into Precision

Tryndamere, Top Lane Kench, Kayle.

They all normally opt into Precision, be it primary or secondary.

Coup de Grace is good at finishing enemies

Other conditions don't seem to be so rewarding

riot doesnt understand cause and effect.

all theyre doing is make shortsighted decisions.

they put a reliable combat rune in a row next to another rune that like 3 champions in the game can use, and a rune that is pretty unreliable 80% of the time, and theyre wondering why everyone takes fucking boneplating.

maybe the rune isnt op, but the alternatives are garbage?

and now theyre making the problem worse by replacing it with another rune that like 3 champions can use.

so people who want to opt into resolve have the choice of

  1. demolish
  2. garbage that 3 champions can effectively use
  3. garbage that 3 champions can effectively use

watch them nerf demolish next, because its "too mandatory"
