Yuumi is going to be one of the worst modern champions at launch ever.

It's actually hilarious how bad this champion is, and the more you read or hear about her, the worst she gets. She's basically a complete joke to any decent player that has tried her. How did a champion this garbage get by the playtesters?

EDIT: The numbers are in, and she has the worst day 1 winrate EVER: 29.71%

Everyone said Ornn sucked at release, simply because no one could handle him, so Riot overbuffed him and when people started understanding him...oof. Give her 1-2 weeks to settle.

This community: I hate that Riot purposely makes champions broken just to sell, greedy company.

Also this community: WOW, I can’t believe that Riot made this champion so weak at release, why would anyone want her? Stupid company.

yuumis kit is just fundamentally unworkable kitwise. the only way riot COULD make it work is by increasing her numbers to an insane margin.(but that'd only last as long as those numbers stay high) actually make her q hit like a zoe q or nidalee q in terms of damage. have her heal be meaningful and give it some other auxillary effect then just be a heal with ms boost attached. and her passive's mana return is almost non-existent and the shield while lasting forever after being procced which i'll assume this is a bug for now til a rioter addresses this. Is so laughably low in scaling and base shield stats. it begs the question just how much of her power budget was thrown into her w's untargetability leading to the rest of her skills being almost completely lackluster. having insane survivability means nothing when you have no real affect or power over the games outcome. anyways she is far outclassed by other supports like lulu and sona by so much there is simply no real reason to pick her up. you'd think giving yuumi multiple skillshots and conditions to proc her cc/dmg would mean her ratios and bases would be much much higher but i guess its the opposite. could you imagine sona having to aim her w heal while having 1/10th of the healing she has now. or having her ult cut apart to 6 different pieces and the cc delayed til 3 parts of it hit? that is basically what yuumi has going on. ( an extremely useless q and e and almost non existent ult )

Worst champ ever released by far

Original Sin5/15/2019, 1:47:19 AM3 votes

Her kit is so dogshit and boring. You pick her w to someone afk go watch youtube. Legit dont understand why they made such a useless champ. She got no cc before 6 she's gonna suffer so hard in lane. Feel bad for any adc that has to 1v2 with such a useless support

Craft Zeppelin5/15/2019, 12:52:38 AM3 votes

My long list here about her problems which got downvoted to oblivion yesterday by damn fools.

This champion is such a missed opportunity for a champion that can jump on others. I'm very confident on this case only, that anyone in the community can come up with a better idea. It is VERY obvious that 1-2 weeks is more than enough. This is gonna damage soloque HEAVILY.

Yuumi has two sided skill difficulty: the player needs to know how to play her, but her allies need to know how to play around her. There have been a few champs like that already. I don't consider her weak for these reasons:

  • When attached, she is a zero risk champion, which means she can't be taken out and this allows her to build Mejai, because she can stack it without risking.
  • Her kit is mechanically really easy.
  • Her Q is really good at catching others or escaping from others as welll as being a lane bully.
  • Her E gives movement speed as well, which can be used for the former purposes.
  • Her R is extremely good at engaging and disengaging. Is she flawed? Well, maybe, but others consider Anivia, Aurelion Sol and others flawed as well, yet they have quite a few players. Is she hard? Not at all. Is she for everyone? Not at all. She requires a special mindset to play even though her kit is really straightforward. The only mechanical gimmick she has is her passive, which requires the player to know how to do a quick AA and then hopping back to her ally. You need to find the balance between when you should be detached and when you should be attached. Sometimes it's better if you ult, while you are detached. If you played Heroes of the Storm, you probably already played a champion similar to him: Abathur. The only exception is that Abathur actually has its own risks, because he never becomes untargetable, while Yuumi does. People find Abathur to be useless, but in reality Abathur is extremely good at helping certain champions.

Shortly: yet again you all are judging way too early. Let the people settle with her first, then balance her if necessary. Look what happened to Sylas after everyone was crying that he was "too weak".

Yuumi singlehandely got me demoted after losing a dozen straight games. I'm using everything the way it seems like it should be. it's all just incredibly underpowered. Her ult is laughably non infulential with its damage cap.

She's mechanically interesting and fun, but all her stats and the stats of her abiltiies are well below par.

LMAO just as I predicted yesterday and NOBODY trusted me. 29% is straight out awful. I do not think ANY champion can cause so much damage to your team other than this case. Even release bard at full-throttle troll mode was 33%.

Proves nobody can read champion kits or run down some simple elementary school math. No WONDER some people have a hard time climbing ranked.

Illabethe5/15/2019, 3:19:33 AM2 votes

She's bad for two reasons:

  1. Like Braum, she almost exclusively relies on allies to be an operational kit. If she doesn't have two very mobile junglers/tanks around her, she's generally dead meat or stuck trailing behind everyone else.

  2. Even though her kit relies on others, she STILL has dismal damage. It's hard to even do 10% HP damage with her Q at 2-3 items! Her R root is almost useless as a support, because your adc is going to use it to TRADE. in other words, 1.75 second root does NOT counter auto attacks....

Tahminatrix 5/15/2019, 12:43:22 AM2 votes

75% of the time a champion is overpowered on release / rework, give riot some courtesy that they didn't do that to yuumi, she gets to be one of the uncommon champions that atleast gets to breath for the first time without being called toxic.

That and she is newly released, nobody is experienced with her...

And most of all, there is probably synergy / strategies with that champion that have yet to be discovered.

Just in case the horrid champion spotlight that made you want to curb-stomp a puppy wasn't a clear indicator.

Be careful guys: My account was permabanned for begging folks to stop playing Yuumi in ranked games and expressing frustration for those who choose to bring a new champ to the ranked rift. Poor Lucian that game was crying out for help bot lane and saying it was a 1v2 essentially, but I couldn't help him as jungle, expressed my own frustration, got yelled at by mid and top and reported by them, tried to defend myself, but still got permabanned. I should have just afked and committed to -19LP. :/

Still, I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one upset by it or who had multiple losses in ranked due to this, but I wish I would have made my distress known on the forum rather than in game. :/ RIP

my favorite part right now is passively buffing your ADC does not get you assists (or soulstealer stacks)

Honestly I'm fine with her being weak on release, it's easier to add power without pissing people off than to remove power without doing so. They have a lot more flexibility this way. With a champion this risky, I'm personally glad they erred on the side of caution. She's hot garbage, but she's fun to play and I can see a lot of potential in her kit.
