Stop buffing Zac.

DunkinNoobs··75 votes·3,526 views

No one likes it when this non-stop gank machine is meta and no one likes being initiated on from way off the screen. The blob man singlehandedly makes immobile champions unviable whenever he's picked.

Edit: I'd like to point out to all the people talking about Zac's winrate that the new patch has him at 53% already. http://lolalytics.com/champion/Zac/Jungle/

Stupid blob man is busted again. Thanks Riot.

At least Zac doesn't invade me at level 2 for an easy kill. At least Zac doesn't auto win every fight after getting a core item. At least Zac doesn't have point and click CC.

Zac is much more fair in retrospect than a LOT of other junglers, and you can ward spots that you think he might slingshot from.

QuickenedBlade13 votes

He hops across the map and dives you, regardless if you see him or not.

Voluug1316 votes

He has a charge time, if you ward obvious spots you can move to your tower or out of the way. For example in toplane there are only 2 spots he can slingshot from (river and your bush). Mid has more spots but less tower distance.

Vi makes inmobile champions more unviable because her ult is point and click so she basically has no gank counterplay after level 6.

QuickenedBlade6 votes

You can't move out of the way, he can change where he lands after he starts charging, unlike Pantheon for example.

He can dive towers in almost any situation where his team is pushed to your tower. You can't push because he can jump from fog of war.

Mid lane has 8 potential gank spots for Zac.

He's completely unfun and uninteractive to play against and has an overall overwhelming amount of map presence for being a tank.

Bacef14 votes

"he can jump from fog of war" Wow you're listing his biggest strength as a jungler. Quality argument. You forgot the fact that he does shit for damage, or the fact that he's supposed to be able to do that. Being able to gank from 8 spots from mid isn't that bad, when you realize at most 4 are able to be used at any time. (My personal favorite is raptors camp if I'm diving, and behind the wall that outlines the side of the river, opposite the side of wherever the enemy mid is.) Also his E is like Varus Q, in the sense that he can change it after he starts charging, but you don't see people complaining about that.

It Hertz When IP3 votes

To be fair, if Varus whiffs a Q, he's not much the worse for wear.

Mind you, I have no problem with Zac, but Varus' Q is a poor comparison.

Bacef3 votes

I said in the sense that he can still aim after it's charged. Not that if zac misses his e he's kinda fucking assed. :P

It Hertz When IP3 votes

Vi's dash thing (never played her) might be a better comparison. I've seen her change direction while charging it.

Sexy Jack Rabbit2 votes

Vi Q is a much better comparison you're right.

Durzaka5 votes

What, yes you can move out of the way.

it gives an indicator where he is going to land, and pretty much every champion with a pair of boots (and eyes) can walk out of it without using any abilities.

QuickenedBlade2 votes

And he can half-lead the shot and force you to run into a hard cc support.

Anybody with a fucking brain can think of that

Durzaka9 votes

If he leads his shot, and you run into it, you got outplayed. Simple as that.

If you know he can lead the shot, your response is to then stop short, or change directions. Not continue into it.

It is not a guaranteed hit unless you are already hit by CC.

QuickenedBlade1 votes

So walk into his CC or walk backwards into more CC. "Outplayed" spoken like a true silver Like saying the new Kat blinking 76 times is outplaying

Being in range of a 3500 unit jump guarantees being hit by CC from either him or his team And it's a 7s CD since he maxes it and builds straight up cdr

Durzaka7 votes

First, i dont know what world you live in that Zac has a 3500 unit jump.

At max lvl, and at max charge time, it has a max range of 1800 units. Which ups 1.3 seconds to reach that range.

On top of that, yeah, that is almost exactly what outplayed means. The Zac forced you into an unfavorable position that you could otherwise have avoided if you had played better (AKA not putting yourself between 2 sources of CC).

Pretty sure he was using hyperbole.

If zac is in vision, he almost will never succeed with a gank. If he's not in vision, the charge time really doesn't matter.

On top of that, yeah, that is almost exactly what outplayed means. The Zac forced you into an unfavorable position that you could otherwise have avoided if you had played better (AKA not putting yourself between 2 sources of CC).

Not really. Most mid and top laners have CC. Standard positioning to avoid enemy harass and farming will naturally put you in that position, and there's not much you can really do about it besides warding out the ass and being completely paranoid about where Zac is.

https://i.gyazo.com/53cce621b6c049eaeb1c9bd4d9744517.jpg

As you can see, just being in a normal farming stance leaves you extremely vulnerable. You can't play like Zac is ready to jump on you 24/7 either as you'll miss cs and be really gimped.

Venomar3 votes

Deep ward, problem solved. He can't hop "across the map" if you see him coming from across the map.

QuickenedBlade2 votes

sweeper

Sqkerg3 votes

You can see him sweeping it and back off.

QuickenedBlade2 votes

sweeping and not attacking the ward unless you're looking at the fucking jungle while you're farming, you wont see him

stay bronze

ModMaybeFiftyOtters4 votes

What account do you actually play on? I'd be more inclined to trust you if you didn't post on the boards on an account that hasn't played ranked since season 4.

Brascus2 votes

Put a control ward in your own tribrush and trinket ward their tribrush, this gets easier at level 9

Vekkna1 votes

You can ward one or two spots, which is fine for top or bot. In mid you have like 6 other spots you can't ward because of the ward limit.

Venomar2 votes

Then Deep ward.

50000000000000005 votes

You're not supposed to have every gank paths warded in the first place, regardless of what jungler it is. Against stealth junglers and Zac, and to some degree Hecarim (lumping together because you often can't see them ganking you until it's too late), a good way to ward is putting the ward in one of the camps. River bush (the one in the river, not the long one next to the lane; just a generally good place for wards, but it also lets you see if they're doing scuttle) and raptor camp is relatively safe to ward.

That said, Zac is hard to ward against, and that is one of his intended strengths.

SirFlameOfDeath4 votes

Great comment Zac has a 40 percent win rate if they are getting dumpstered by him they suck.

An Enemy Sutando3 votes

Oh look a Lee hate comment in disguise.

Jet Sett6 votes

Well, XinZhao LeeSin Hecarim Nocturne Udyr Vi have point and click hard cc. And depending on the matchup XinZhao Shaco Volibear LeeSin can invade you at level 2 and likely kill you.

Just because it applies to Lee SIn doesn't mean it's ABOUT him entirely.

ShadowParker20 votes

HAHAHAH what.

These boards are so polar. People were complaining about how shit he feels so they buff him and now people don't even want him viable.

Of course riot's gonna buff him, he was undertuned.

royalpaste5 votes

im pretty sure if the boards got their way every champion would be as strong as a melee minion.

Anidan11 votes

Except assassins. If it was up to the boards an assassin would die just for having the audacity to show themselves near an enemy champion.

Fisher No Chains9 votes

Zac makes me want to quit playing some midlaners. Whenever he's picked, don't even try picking a Lux or Syndra or whatever because if you don't have flash you'll probably never dodge his bullshit from-fog-of-war-E.

Sad thing that they removed stealth wards... Those things used to make his life a bit harder.

Big Lincoln8 votes

Syndra can just E him to cancel the jump though

Fisher No Chains1 votes

Not if he's decent and knows that Syndra's E has a long cd = he can gank when it's off and get an easy kill.

Ralanr9 votes

So many people can gank when it's off cooldown.

Fisher No Chains1 votes

There's a difference between dodging a Lee's Q/Elise's E (and actually being able to see them before they gank) and dodging a Zac's E.

Ralanr11 votes

Yeah, Zac's E has a much bigger indicator.

Big Lincoln8 votes

then he played smartly

Fisher No Chains1 votes

And then I'm condemned because he played smartly and there's nothing I can do except flashing. Right.

Bacef10 votes

"Wow, I got outplayed, I need to be able to reverse that situation so that I can always win even though I fucked up and made a big mistake by using my only anti-gank spell while shoved up my fucking ass in this lane, and if I can't counterplay his punishing my horrible mistake then this champion has 0 counterplay even though he simply was a good player!!!!1!"

RocketRelm3 votes

Zed uses W to jump in for harass damage against the enemy laner. Keeps posturing aggressively. Sejuani walks into the lane, and rolls her Q into him. Holy hell, how can I dodge that Q? It's basically a point-and-click! So OP!

Man, I wonder what went wrong here.

Oakleaf Ranger5 votes

That's the point, you took a risk of using your hard CC to poke, farm, or push. If your going to play aggressive you better be not be putting your self in a position where the junglers can show up without you knowing and slamming your face with CC. If your gonna play non stop aggressive understand that good junglers will notice this and if your laner knows how to handle non stop aggression without taking too much damage. Your gonna get gang banged soon. Good Junglers are consistently keeping an eye on lanes to see where they can pull off a successful gank. Your non stop aggressive laning is like ringing a dinner bell for the enemy jungler.

Voluug1311 votes

Then dont use your only anti-gank defensive spell? Syndra is ranged and unless you are going for the kill from minute one, you shouldnt be using E constantly on lane.

Bacef9 votes

Wow, really? Who knew junglers can gank an immobile champion when their cc is on cooldown. Man, I wish the other junglers could do this man. /s

FantasySniper8 votes

Now replace "Zac" with "Lee Sin", and "blob" with "blind".

YOUGOTKILLEDBRO5 votes

He needed a buff, he was really weak in his position, and he got what he needed.

Bacef4 votes

Zac isn't even that bad. Then again I'm biased because I play him, but he's not cancerous at all if you play against him, IMO. You're complaining about the fact that he's played like he's supposed to, which is to counter immobile champions. Zac isn't too mobile in the sense of dashes, actually, but in the sense that he has the ability to cover large distances very quickly. His kit was built around the fact that he's able to do this, and he's naturally good against immobile champions because they can't avoid his long range small AOE cc. His counterplay is much more linear than someone like lee sin, who if they miss their q can just wardhop to you, kick you into their mid, have their q up and fuck you over, or Sejuani, who perma slows you and has 2 stuns and a knockup to make sure you never escape anything.
