Idea for the BE with nothing to spend it on.. Guilds..
I always keep seeing the same thread "omg I got nothing to spend BE on, this sucks riot!" with literally NOTHING suggested.. What do you want Riot to do? Buy you a car? You got all the champs, you got almost all the skins... This isn't a complete charity.. If Riot give the millions of players exactly what they dont have even half the time, they'd go bankrupt.
But other games have fixed this issue through making money sinks that give the players special incentive to dump ingame currencies into. Mostly looking at MMO's, etc. Something which Riot could consider, and I think would honestly work..
A proper "Guild" system in league would be pretty cool imo. This could also allow for ppeople like myself to dump their unused, unwanted BE into for cool guild stuff.
Note: These are suggestions.. obviously some may or may not work, or may need to be tweaked, or fined tuned, or whatever..
Costs for BE for guilds:
- Create a Banner which is shown next to your name in the loading screen with the guilds name. (Many ways to do this successfully, which MANY games have done in the past.)
- Guild Name Change.
- Increase max number of guildmates.
- Unlocking Ranks in the Guild
- Unlocking Guild Forums
- Unlocking Guild Dashboard
- Unlocking special Guild Skins
- Increase to BE gains for playing with guildmates for x days.
- Increase to exp gains for playing with guildmates for x days.
- Slight chance of gaining a rare skin for guildmembers for a day from all sources.
- Entering the Guild Arena (basically a independent ranking system where guilds fight in the summoners rift for Guild Rank Points).
- 2% decrease in cost for skins for guildmates for a day. (Doesn't apply to newely released skins)
- 2% decrease in cost for champions for guildmates for a day. (Doesn't apply to newely released champs)
Additional Notes:
- The unlocking of guild forums, dashboard, etc. would be a 1 time massive cost payout that the whole guild can dump BE into into the "Guild Treasury". The cost would be like 50k to 300k or more for each, or depending on what it is.
- The decrease in cost of things could be a permenant thing as well. Where if a guild dumps something like 2 million BE into it, it is a permenant 5-10% decrease in cost for this stuff.
