If Nasus' R/Q buff on the PBE goes through, Wither needs drastic changes ASAP.

Title.

How early he can start all-inning is going to come much, much sooner, and anyone without mobility+CC will not be able to disengage from him.

Find a way to not make his laning that much better, considering he's an infinitely scaling champ.

"Oh teh noes, a champ who's been shitty for a rather long time now is getting buffed and might actually be a threat, better call for nerfs to him preemptively!"

Pfui to you.

I think OP is talking more along the lines of "oh shit this late game champ that's been only good before 20 minutes is becoming even more early game.

I'd rather let him speak for himself. Nevertheless, Nasus has been in need of buffs, and this might as well be one of them.

I mean, if you knew how to read properly that's literally what he said in his post.

Are we pretending that this didn't just happen with Cho'gath? Is our memory truly that short?

Cho'Gath has been getting buffs for the last two years straight plus a few small reworks. Hardly the same thing.

People were calling out the Cho/Stoneplate interaction as soon as we got a glimpse of Stoneplate. The only thing preventing it from being a major issue when Stoneplate first went live was that Cho as he was then couldn't reliably get close to enemies in order to trigger the burst.

Then Riot decided to buff his reliability by turning his autoattack passive into a slowing % health thing, and et voila! The Cho/Stoneplate interaction hit the spotlight.

The Nasus situation isn't exactly similar. They're giving him 15 seconds of increased DPS every two minutes or so, and that's only as long as he can actually get enemies to stick around. If they were doing something like making Wither start out at maximum slow and decay over the duration, I could see where maybe you had a valid comparison. As it is, Nasus just isn't the waiting timebomb that Cho/Stoneplate was.

Nasus is a mid game champ. Not late game.

He's garbage late. His E % helps in mid to late but late he's still going to be kited and he's going to die without getting to the backline.

You can be like, "Oh nooooo! A champion that's weak early gets strong in the midgame, enough that he can duel me!"

There's 40 champs that are like that. And a good portion of them scale better than Nasus.

Why is this a bad thing? nasus win rate is just terrible for for a true infinite scaler and he needs more power, add to that most champions in the game now often have both mobility and CC and can often buy it even if they don't have it on their kit now days means nasus needs some buff love because having 500 stacks tends not to matter anymore because if you cannot apply more then a single Q before being kited to death whats the point?

The only way to make his laning not better but have a strong late would be to have him ignore slows at 400 stacks when in ult and you would be on the forums complaining about that too.

That R/Q buff is amazing.

I don't even play Nasus but I hope it goes through.

Half of these guys complaining about Nasus buffs are currently cheesing meta champs with mobility having their cake and eating it.

He's already completely immobile and easily kited, so what changes would you propose?

Mecha Incognito5 votes

But his laning hasn't actually gotten any better. If anything his levels 1-5 are going to be even worse since he lost a little armor shred on E, so his trades are weaker.

These changes just promote his mid game strength further - not his late game. As an infinitely scaling champ you'd assume his late game was his strength but it's really the mid game, where people haven't got enough damage to chunk him out hard or haven't bought item 3139 which makes him essentially useless.

It's a good change overall, it rewards sticking to people if you can. If you can't (which is fairly normal for Nasus) then you've actually lost some damage.

Good for duelling tanks though.

He really won't be that scary unless he's already ahead. His late game is meh until 1K stacks.

He can backdoor pretty fast with like 500 stacks.

OP is talking about wither, claiming his 1v1 will be unmatched.

Malevolent Metal4 votes

Yea, but one you hit the 25/30th minute you really cant afford to farm anymore as at this point you have to be around your team 24/7 to make sure they dont get 4v5 nuked. The infinite scaling argument is not the best one.

HateDaddy3 votes

Not really. Nasus could beat most people at level 6 now in an all-in regardless of stacks. It's just most people are smart enough to disengage and wait for his ult to wear off. Plus wither has a long cooldown early and his sticking power is dogshit in 1v1s at that point. It won't make him anymore of a threat tbh, not unless you're stupid enough to try to fight him through his entire ult duration from start to finish.

ValyrianBlade1 votes

Yea, it's like Riot didn't realize they broke Zac and Cho'gath, and are instead using them as the measuring stone on where to put Nasus...

There is one saving grace... Now Nasus will ult to stack faster.
