so is lethality the problem, or certain ad's?

All buffing lethality did was make Jhin even better than he was before - which was still easily top 3 ad carries

Varus got direct buffs, as well as the lethality buff

Idunno, both of these character seem very disgusting atm while the others like Kalista and Lucian are still garbage

Wow the best ads right now are the ones that dont get in the fight and have a safe lane phase vs cancer mages. Hmm i wonder why

Lethality shouldn't have been buffed. It was already a viable pick on loads of champions. The champions who were weak should have been buffed

you can outplay jhin

you can't outplay varus

don't say i'm biased, the frontline can easily cockblock jhin's abilities and he has incredible mana cost+can't build tear

Considering the issues that armor pen caused, and Lethality sitting at nearly 95% of old armor pen's effectiveness vs lvl 1 targets...Lethality's the issue.

Support meta is also an issue.

And the strong ADs in general are an issue.

There are a lot of reasons Lucian isn't strong right now, despite armor pen highly favoring him.

I don't think Lucian and Kalista are garbage anymore, it's just that they can't survive in a lane with Varus/Jhin + Zyra/Malz. Their range is too short. It's a support meta problem for them.

Both. The only ADs that were good were the ones that either had the utility to let the real damage dealers slaughter teams or ones that could reach the backline (Twitch, MF, etc).

Flat pen synergizes ungodly well with champions that can reach the backline because it hurts squishies more than it hurts tanks.

Jhin needed nerfs been a while tbh.

Riot wants lucian to become a lethality adc but people are confused and still build crit on him.

Sire Hippington2/6/2017, 4:46:17 PM1 votes

I don't think lethality is much of an issue here, it may be overall a bit strong right now, but all the adc that seem opressive have been top tier befor already. And crit still is a viable and often enough better option on those champs. Lethality builts work well vs squishy and are great if snowballing, but they lack dps to cut down tanks, especially if playing from behind. When i have a decent game on a tanky toplane, i love nothing more than faceing an leathality adc, as i just proceed to be near immortal since the opposing team lacks serious dps(unless their mid covers that, fuck you corki/ryze/cassio/azir)

Flat armor pen lets AD champions do essentially true damage to already squishy champions.

The only ADC that its really a problem on is MF. Jhin was hitting 1K+ crits before the lethality buffs and Varus trades his DPS for poke.

So if it's only a real problem on one ADC, it's safe to assume it's it's a problem with the ADC and not the mechanic

They were fine until the Lethality buffs.
