Gotta say, after using Overwatch's client it's real tough justifying Riot's new one.

Being able to use chat during loading.

Having a custom control scheme for every undividual character. (Believe it or not, that's something I'd use CONSTANTLY)

Being able to report DURING and after a game(as well as post lobby), as opposed to forgetting about it 25 minutes later when you have your one and only chance to file the report.

There were some slight adjustments to make some factors of the new client better, but the fact that Overwatch's client is so much better when it's been virtually unchanged since release is a little ridiculous.

Edit: Was wrong on one part I removed about the recently played list. Completely forgot about it, the other 3 points are bigger in my opinion.

Being able to look up players you recently played with in a faster way then the match history.

Click the "Add Friend" button on the Social bar and it shows your recently played list.

It goes back pretty far, too, last I checked.

Ah, completely forgot that feature. I'll change the post in a second! That was definitely the smallest gripe of everything listed anyway.

HIGH PRIORITY - Improving the implementation of the "recently played" list. You can still find this in the "add friend" menu (launched from the social panel) but it's not as accessible as it was in the legacy client. We'll implement the recently-played list in the lobby and as an "accordion" tab in the friends list. Also, we've already implemented the ability to block people from the recently played tab.

Thats a matter of opinion. If its similar to the setup in HotS then I really dislike it. Its super annoying to have to set up your mount and other stuff every single time you pick a new hero.

Just my opinion though.

Heroes of the Storm's new client is like, everything League wanted from every client-related update, including hextech crafting. There are so many excuses and reasons to keep dumping hours into the game.

EDIT: I loved running a Lux/Kamil, and I usually ran Lux in my team in the sequel, too. He's pretty much the greatest!
