Im sick of being first pick nearly every game. Is the game just trying to be a dick? or do I just have bad luck? All first pick means is that someone has the opportunity to counter pick me. nearly. every. game.....
stealthfox942 votesI didn't even like being first pick in draft. Sure you get to ban and almost always get the role you want but getting counter picked is so frusturating.

Teémò1 votes1st pick has always been reserved for a multipurpose champion though. kayle, kennen, lulu, zilean, nidalee. picking a akali first pick will only mean the enemy will pick something like cassieopia. HOWEVER part of playing a champion is knowing how to play the match up :)
FortisDominus1 votesYea, but there are just some match ups that are just impossible and mid lane is not a good example of counter match ups. Being counter picked in the mid lane is not the same as the top lane. Like if i picked renekton and the enemy picks teemo. After the 5.22 patch, renekton can no longer stun through teemos blind, this made the lane match up actually impossible to win without jungle pressure or unless the teemo has no idea what he is doing. (just an example)
Teémò2 votesI know the teemo vs renekton all to well Even if I don't play him xD qss helps with the blind and shrooms or take cleanse. etc. The point I was saying is how the champions above don't have just one lane. There for the ability to counter in lane is diminished. One thing to consider as well being a renekton is would you rather fight the teemo or proxy farm. He has great sustain Even if you execute yourself your not worth anything to the teemo and you'll out cs him. eventually when you feel you got the items to fight him then what is the teemo to do :)
Best Valor NA1 votesA lot of people used to like being first pick previously because you would get all 3 bans, and you would get your desired role, it was rare that you got that because you WANTED it.
Now that you don't want it, the games going to give it to you as much as possible.

The solution is to pick either a champion that can go into multiple roles or is your best champion for your role.
If you pick a champion that can go into a few different lanes, your opponents might think you are going one lane when you are instead going in another. Picking your best champion, on the other hand, means that you might still be able to do better than your opponent despite being counterpicked because you might be better enough on your champion than your opponent is in their champion that the matchup doesn't matter, and you could still win anyways.
