Why do i get punished by Garen for ouplaying jungle ganks and roaming

This champion is just so infuriating, i go mid to help out and get a kill or him and his jungler fail a dive and i get a kill and i just get instantly punished for it, i can't walk up for CS i can't fight him anymore i can't do anything because he can just ult me from 1/3 hp and finish me off.

His villan mechanic is just so stupid and takes alot of the fun out of the game when you get marked by it, he already is frusterating enough to play in a melee match with him just outstatting you with his W passive and rediculous base and AD ratios.

Something needs to change about him because his gameplay is just uninterative and punishing good players

he has one of the worst win rates in the game ... he is easy to beat and play around... his win rate is 46.25%

But with renekton you could just make him so obsolete in lane with e aa w q aa e then eventually just so that you aren't really a gankable lane. But also if you are put in that situation and you got a kill then just back if you're so low it's gonna kill you to try and cs. I understand garen is pretty bs but there are things to be done in situations like that

Edit: also when he goes up for cs you can q for harass and to pop his passive which will make him either end up in kill range with any aggro you put out or force him to miss a lot of cs if he wants to keep his regen

Because you don't respect his damage, you are mispositioning, you are using your cooldowns improperly, you are not respecting his cooldowns, you are backing incorrectly, or any combination of the above.

For one thing, a LOT of champions can kill you from 1/3 health, without you having an opportunity to react, from a MUCH greater range than Garen has, often without even needing an ultimate. Just a few examples are Renekton, Pantheon, Jayce, Wukong, Nautilus, Gragas, and many, many other toplaners. You shouldn't be hanging around with 1/3 health next to an opponent with full cooldowns. Garen is in fact one of the safest champions to do this against.

Garen's the worst champion in the game Diamond+ (source: lolalytics.com, which is basically Champion.gg for Diamond+). If you play the game correctly, Garen shouldn't really give you any problems.

I'f i'm up 2 kills on the enemy champion i feel like i shouldn't have to cower under a tower and then have him just dive me, it's not about him being op or anything it's him having a generally toxic mechanic that punishes good play rather than enabling garen to do cool things

What are you talking about? If you're up 2-0 vs a 0-2 lane opponent the lane's over.

What champ are you even playing? The Villain mechanic is strong but it's not THAT strong. You're probably misplaying somewhere if you can't even farm vs a champ with no range.

It's also entirely possible that you're roaming wrong, and end up losing more than a kill worth of gold/exp by spending too much time out of lane.
