LichBane with spellvamp
Here to make spellvamp relevant again. as well as changing lichbane's identity from a 1 shot burst item for +600 ap mages. into an item more similar to trinity force, that's good on its own.
explanation:
So to make lichbane similar to triforce lets break triforce's sheen proc trinity force 200% base dmg plus 10% crit lets say you have 115 base dmg at lvl 18. that's 230 dmg. plus 10% crit. say you have 300 ad crit doubles it so you have 10% chance to do an additional 300 damage. so overall thats 30 damage. That's without IE of course.
With variations; base ad, your current ad and infinity edge. so overall thats about 260 damage on hit at level 18. give or take about 30 damage with a few outliers.
Lichbane on hit should aim for something similar with maybe a tad bit more dmg because it has fewer base stats, less ap and no health or phage passive. though less costly. so 200% base ad plus (25% magic damage to a maximum of 60 additional magic damage). This encourages building some ap but no so much that it wouldn't be effective on its own. this way you could just build wits end lichbane and call it a day if you wanted to. Much like you can currently build wits end and triforce on irelia and call it a day.
http://i.imgur.com/hxfYRP3.jpg I went with 60% spellvamp so its like having 12% lifesteal with triforce. with 6% spellvamp from quintessences it'd be sort of like having 4.5 lifesteal from runes.60% of 26 = 15.6 spellvamp. nothing too serious and at the cost of having less dmg. Along with this change you have the following reworked rageblade: http://i.imgur.com/OwB4sEa.jpg
with the addition of luden's echo it allows lichbane to serve a slightly different role. It can still be combined with luden's of course for ap characters that simply want the burst.
Other minor things: I might give lichbane 300 base mana as well. Such that it can be more reliable as a sole source of mana if someone is conservative with their mana use. It would also pair a bit better with archangel staff and rightly so if its to become a bit more of a bruiser item. Since you get a shield and spellvamp, you could survive long enough to use lichbane enough times to make it worth while. As opposed to glass cannons who risk their lives just to get one spellblade off. As such lich bane will be a bit more useful over time much like trinity force is compared to ie. IE is more do or die while triforce gives a bit more utility/guerilla warfare power.
While it has less hp than triforce since it'll be good on its own it allows tanky bruisers like gragas to choose among other tanky items as opposed to stacking more ap. The 100 ap also helps many champions with things like heals/shields that translate into a form of health.
In the end you're likier to get your spellblade off one more time than as squishy glass cannon that isn't getting enough peel. And you're likely to live long enough to perhaps land an extra cc, or use another supportive spell to help your team out.
It will help out the neglected hybrid characters a lot. as well as dust off items that are hardly used. and as a tank id rather equip both mr and armor then to have armor get shredded by armor pen as is the case in the current meta. So i really don't think mixed damage/bruiser characters are as much of a threat as they are made out to be. won't be as much of a nuisance to itemize against as it is vs the combined static shiv and lastwhisper.

will have no burst considering that his current kit needs the extra damage from Lich Bane to stay viable. I know anybody who doesn't play Fizz would like these changes, but Fizz players would stop playing Fizz due to his new-found uselessness.
