People should not get banned for having fun and winning the way they want.

If you looked into the details, he refused to communicate with his team, took smite, stole his jungler's camps, and refused to support.

For me it's the principle. You shouldn't get banned for playing something off meta. And obviously if he had a positive win rate and made it all the way into Plat, he had to have told his teams what he was going to do somewhere along the way.

If not building sightstone is bannable now then I should never see Veigar Velkoz Ivern or Brand cause most of the support players I see picking those champs almost never build sightstone either.

You shouldn't be banned by playing something off-meta, but it wasn't the off meta pick that got him banned; it was the fact he refused to communicate with his team and refused to play his role.

I think you are wrong, he uploads pictures that he tells the team exactly what he is going to do, and exactly how to capitalize, his role is support? Is supporting your adc the only thing that a support does? if you watch his games you would know that he always puts the enemy jg behind while applying pressure mid or top lane and invading, he is supporting his team. Is that not what a support should do? Granted he does go back to bot lane afterwards and helps out his adc but now his other teammates are in fact ahead. I don't understand your statement. His win rate too, it obviously works if he has a positive win rate with so many games under his belt.

I main brand and most of the time find myself in the support position. I will say if you don't build a sightstone on a support you're supporting wrong. However, that doesn't mean sightstone has to be first item 100% of the time. The way I see it when I play brand there's 2 scenarios:

  1. You win lane hard, get first blood and continue to dominate = rush damage/cc (rylias / liandries) then finish sightstone.
  2. No kills, maybe you lose lane, die, etc = sightstone first.

As a Brand support if you get ahead early you're no longer just a support, you're now a considerable damage threat to the enemy. Brands kit is great because you don't need a ton of ap to still do damage, so ending up with a sightstone is always the best way to go. I will say sometimes I sell the ss if the game goes late enough and 1 fight determines the winner.

...I beg your pardon?

It has been and always will be a poor excuse. Sightstone is a major part of supporting because providing vision is a key point in the role, as is peeling for your lane partner, and later your whole team. Yellow trinket is simply not enough, on top of the fact you need to be constantly clearing wards which involves getting sweeper.

What are you talking about? He has macros to tell his team exactly what he is going to do before the game starts and when he gets in game. It's not his fault they don't listen.

That doesn't mean they agreed to his strategy.

Stole his jnglrs camp ???? He steals the enemys' I watched a couple games and I know that's a lie

Staying in lane is not a must, if the adc is not doing so well, roaming maybe a way out, support is support, they are not there solely for the adc but for the team as whole.

Non meta stuff should be supported, after all its a game, players should have the freedom to test new stuff and explore, what this guy does is quite inspiring, but to be fair, doing something new and getting banned for it or doing something new in a 5 players game and not getting blessing from your team mate is different, and yes he post a paragraph to explain what he is gonna do before each game doesn't mean all his team mate agrees with him.

Ritto should and in my understanding do support people exploring the game and new stuff, and in this case I think it really comes down to the dialogues between Adellaideskyhart and his team mates, ban would be fair if he fails to communicate (communication don't just mean dropping a paragraph at the beginning of each game, but to reach full understanding with all members of the team , and for them to agree to his plans also) and comes to term with team mates about his arrangements, and an apologies is due if otherwise. Which ever way it goes this has caught many players attention, it would only be fair if riot gives this guy a fair judgement in full transparency.

I main support and I can tell when the enemy adc is better than mine, when I see that I roam a lot to help other lanes cuz I know either way we will loose the bot if jng does help. I very much agree with u

Let's just talk shit without reading what actually happened, yeeeeee

AstroFerrari 1 votes

Yeah and you know exactly what happened and who the guy is and where he lives and everything huh? FOH this is old news

I read his story, his strategy, watched his games and I've also read all the Rioters messages on the official post.

And only by reading Riot's replys you would've understood that...

People should not get banned for having fun and winning the way they want.

...that's not the reason of the ban.

he's not even banned
