The burstiest champion in the game?

As a DPS he suffers greatly from the "Attack Burst Damage Per Second Syndrome." Of being able to do bursts of thousands of damage per second. It really isn't that big of a deal because he can be shut down, with CC . . .

But this is SoloQ we're talking about. Unless if you're super high diamond that isn't quite good enough. It isn't even a late-game problem because Yi can do 1.5K damage per second with 2 items and a pair of boots

This spike is absolutely ludicrous. I'm playing Pyke, pulled the dude into 1v5. He's charged up on wolves, so he hits me with a Q, 2 auto attacks then a passive and I'm instantly dead. He had 4 kills at that time, but that's absolutely insane spiking levels. The fuck am I suppose to do, not pull him in or pull him in and then waste my flash so another teammate can die?

Dude ive just been playing yi for fun in norms because once you get that guinsoos its all over.

I guess you haven't seen item 3508 rushing Yi. I managed to 1v2 Yasuo and Vayne that were way-way ahead than me. They took 2 Qs, good luck trying to touch URF Yi. You don't need AS items like razor and rageblade. CDR and AD, and crit is the new optimal build with ER, and is way stronger, because there is no counterplay at all. You basically have to pray his Q to glitch and he gets hit by CC during his Q animation.

Actually, he's not that easy to shut down with cc later in the game if he has a comp around him. His alpha strike in his current state is up more frquently even wwithout resets than it was on S2 AP-Yi with full resets and picks like kayle and Tarik can keep him alive through some CC.

The only reason why he's not that strong in high elos is that his earlygame is quite abusable especially in the current snowball meta. If he goes conqueror, one can also try to force fights befor he can stack up conqueror and guinsoo's and avoid them when he has it, but that requires to much coordination for soloQ up to plat and probably even diamond. In lower elos or about any elo soloQ, he often can reach his two item spike without getting punished enough. He, and most melee hypercarries, are just awfully designed in a way that makes them utterly rediculous to play against once they get going, and pretty usless if they don't get going. However, with the current state of the game, i hardly see a way to change that.

In low elo, the problem is his Q makes him untargettable, many players forget to or fail to retarget him after he uses Q, when he could be burst down.

I wish I was joking, but this is how Yi crushes.

Hmmm I guess I'm immune to this whole Yi problem since I play MonkeyKing . I haven't had an issue with Yi ever since picking up the monkey, hes just free food whenever I see him now.

I do have nightmares of people spamming "I WAS IN ALPHA" now though. The Wu Q kills him in alpha every time lol

Yeah the guy that can do 3K damage late game with his entire kit and long CDR's?

Pretty sure Yi can do that whenever he can auto attack after 2 items. [slayer-jinx-catface]

Maybe dont comlain about a jungle champion that needs in combat for his power spike while playing squishy supposed to die if anything jumps on them Champions and riven with broken scaling and Tons of cc with a massive shield far bigger than any janna puts out put people can cry shield meta on from janna
