Could devourer work without a stack sytem.

First of all, im not necessarily asking for a buff nor nerf, just a general change.

Unlike the other jungle items, on-hit champions have the extra pressure (that ad, ap and tanks) dont have, that is having to be thinking about sating the devourer, basically forcing them to have a Mejais/SwordoftheOccult pressure going on, at least for me making it less fun, without mentioning way more suceptible to counter jungling. It also makes them prone to "afk farming" and dissencouraging from ganking. (Mobs die faster and at the moment you leave your jungle the enemy jungler will take your camps).

As a random suggestion perhaps it could be changed so the damage scales with level or something. (24 +2 per level magic damage on hit (50 at lvl 18)) and the passive something like: "when you hit a target (or just a chanpion) you gain sated procs for 10 seconds, 40 to 20 seconds cooldown (depending on level). Alternatively, "sated" could be unlocked at a certain level, or the stacks work over time like RodO%%%es.

I dunno, comments, opinions or something ?

i feel like. devoure needs to go away as an item. it just doesn't make any sense honestly how it works with some things.

No.

If sated devourer is not locked behind something, there are going to be serious problems, and a simple cooldown is not going to cut it.

Most champions who take advantage of this item can get devourer at ~7 minutes, and the ability to have Sated that early would crowd out every other option, even if it had a cooldown.

Devourer users would crowd out every other option, since in that 10 second window they would be more powerful than any other champion (A Lee Sin with warrior or a Nidalee with Runic Echoes aint got shit on a Xin with Sated).

Games are already snowbally, this would bring it to a new level.

this was just a general suggestion, with this, devourer would be better on buy but weaker lategame. Alternatively, "sated" could be unlocked at certain level, or the stacks work over time like RodO%%%es

Their kit discourages them from ganking, not the item. Shyv and Yi aren't ganking early because they're farming early, they're not ganking early because they can't. Devourer merely makes these champions playable by giving them extra payoff for farming in exchange for not ganking early.

they have good mobility, along with other devourer champions and ganking tools. The problem is they are unnecessarily weaker against counterjungling, they need to stay there not only to get the stacks, but to care against the enemy taking his mobs.

Mobility alone doesn't make for a good gank. You need a cc tool to hold the enemy in place to keep them from retreating under their turret. If you're playing a Devourer jungler who does have good ganking tools then you need to make a choice about if you're going to spend time ganking or focus on farming and make an investment in that choice by choosing either devourer or a different jungle item.

Suggestions to change it?

The entire point of Devourer is to reward players who prefer a jungle farming playstyle. If you don't want to farm your jungle very much then you should have built a different item.

tanks have an item, mages have an item, ads have an item, on-hits have an item.

i don't see why on-hit champs should build stacks unlike the rest.

Name 1 champion that usually builds devourer who couldn't also benefit from Runic Echoes or Warrior.

Sated should be removed and all champions that used should be attuned to Warrior imo

All champions could benefit from all items, a cinderhulk champ could build the rest, same with the other 2, attack damage and cdr is always useful as well as the ms and bonus dmg of runic.

What you are saying makes no sense, ita a matter of which one is the best for each champ.

Realistically, the fact that they need to farm, does a fair job of limiting their power, and leaving them to be counter jungled. That's probably the built in counterplay to that item.

Also, subbing in a time system, probably won't fix the AFK farm problem either. Most Devouring Junglers are carrys. They need the farm to buy scaling items.
