"just save your hard cc for XXX"

If you're doing draft pick, a balanced team composition is recommended.

Ideally, against that kind of team comp, I would assume (but I'm not certain) you would want a utility team comp to counter it appropriately. Slows would likely work best against Tryndamere and Soraka (one to keep away from your backline, and the other to pick her out). Snares for Yi, stuns for Vayne and Katarina.

Say that you pick a team comp with every member having some form of cc, so you can rotate your spells based on need. For instance, the support (let's say Lulu, I guess) saves their cc for when Katarina or Yi jumps into the middle of the team, as opposed to trying to catch Vayne autoattacking the frontline tank.

As useful as "save your cc for [x]" can be, sometimes it's knowing the best time and target to use it on. The enemy team can work around your cc as much as you can work around their mobility, and I've seen more than once a smart Katarina waiting until that one person with the cc wastes it on the enemy tank to lay waste.

Excuses such as "Save hard CC for X" or "Never fight X alone" is flawed at best.

If I have to give special attention to X just because X is X and not Y, then X is immediately a problem.

Then simply kill them because that teamcomp is trash.

soraka, duh. if she doesn't die then nothing else is going to either....soraka first for obvious reasons, then kat because of the massive aoe dmg, then trynd to force his ult, yi and vayne are pretty much equivalent, but probably yi since vayne is slippery

Get a couple people with reliable AoE CC. Burst damage would also be useful.
