Solo queue needs to actually have it's skill discrepancy issues addressed

I went from Platinum IV 0 LP to Platinum I 98 LP a few days ago, with something like 28 wins and 6 losses, and then dropped to Platinum II today, because my teams are consistently putting the game into an unwinnable state in the first 5-6 minutes of the game.

I've already climbed to Diamond after placing Gold II earlier in the season and decayed out of it. It should not require weeks of me bashing my head against the wall and spamming games until the statistics work in my favor, to get back to Diamond.

This makes no sense. Ranked should not be a coin flip; something needs to be done to address the players who are contributing to making it a coin flip and normalizing skill levels.

I always thought it would be nice if you didn't lose LP for a loss if you got an S. That basically says you did your part but your team didn't.

nah the problem is that then people try to get S over winning the game

Like for example, hogging up all the CS in lanes and jungle just to get that S status

I'd be really interested in losing LP based on your rating in a loss. Something like only losing 5 points for an S, 10 points for an A, 13 points for a B, etc. My only concern is that it would result in people caring entirely too much about their KDA.

I know it takes into account vision score which helps the team. Does it take into account damage to objectives? If it doesn't, it should. Maybe assists could get weighted more, too to help promote teamfighting.

Idk that's a whole separate issue.

The rating counts a lot more than the KDA.

You can't get an S or even an A at high rating on the losing team. The enemy team's gold advantage often lets them easily dive you with zero risks; the only way you can maintain KDA is by staying at the fountain, in which case you won't have the CS for a high rank.

It doesn't really matter how well you played when bottom lane is 0-10 at 12 minutes and the enemy Kai'sa is 100 to 0'ing you under your turret in 1.5 seconds.

You climbed so far so fast you are being paired with far higher ranked players who aren't doing as well. I had that happen twice last season.

This is actually fucking stupid, I'm just chain losing games that are over by the 5 minute mark because the other lanes are 0-6 and down a tower or some stupid shit

Look how retarded the losses in my match history are: 2-11-2 Tryndamere 3-10-9 Aatrox 3-13-4 Shyvanna 0-5-0 Ezreal, 0-4-0 Sona, 0-4-1 Udyr 0-9-0 Aatrox

I just went back to Platinum I, then down to 34 LP in Platinum II. This is insane. One of my friends is also stuck in Platinum I, despite being 5x Diamond. He hasn't even gotten to Diamond V this season.

We may as well just roll dice to see what rank we get at the end of the season.
