Am I the only one who doesn't mind Auto-fill? (poll included)

  1. It really doesn't happen very much
  2. Someone is usually willing to trade if you ask nicely and say "I was auto-filled"
  3. No auto-fill would inevitably mean longer queue times

Besides, isn't it kind of healthy to play all 5 roles every now and then? If there are legitimately only 2 roles you can play without doing horribly, you're putting a limit on how high you can climb. You won't understand the perspectives of the other 3 positions, and will therefore inhibit your ability to be an effective teammate. One-tricking is fine and dandy, but I think it's important to be at least half-decent with a champ or two in all 5 positions.

If you're genuinely not in favor of Auto-fill, I'd love to hear your perspective in the comments so I can see where you're coming from.

It's unhealthy for ranked, you are put at a disadvantage if someone's not playing optimally for something out of their control lol Autofill for normal queues is absolutely fine, reduce those queue times But give me everyone at their best in ranked

i dont mind autofill, but i'm from season 2 where one would get flamed for being last pick and not knowing how to fill, literally. so from my POV one should be serviceable in all roles before they enter ranked anyway.

As a supp main, I am generally unaffected by autofill. That said, I think it's kind of awful when people have to play an off-role in their promos, so it might be a good compromise to at least disable autofill during promos.

I play "fill" a lot voluntarily. I don't like being forced into it. I almost always get jungle with a feeding team. Riot's obsession with super short queue times has backfired.

i mean look dude honestly, even doublelift is renowned for his assassin play when he's off role in mid or top. Dlift dude. you can see huni playing jungle and support on some replay uploads. i just honestly do not understand what arguments one can have with autofill when your pillar of the community examples all do the autofill thing without complaints because they know the game instead of a champion.

I want to play the champion I want. That's the only reason I play this game. If that means I wait longer in queue, so be it. If I get autofilled, I dodge anyway. I can find something to do for 5 minutes and queue time, so I don't care. And if there are people with my mentality playing the game, then autofill actually INCREASES queue times in those instances.
