Why is Lux not allowed to have waveclear?

Usually people pull of an argument „ But Lux is long range, having a waveclear would break her”, meanwhile Anivia, Xerath, Ziggs, hell even Velkoz have comparable ranges, and they are allowed to nuke minion waves like nothing in one combo. Meanwhile Lux options are either use two e's missing some minions in the process, and burning a lot of mana, or throw e and then go basic attack everything like an idiot, which will also in many match ups get you killed.

I made this suggestion before, and I will try again. For one, make Lux E projectile have a slower travel speed to give enemies more time to react to it and dodge, I think thats the part about laning vs Lux people hate the most, the E is just too damn fast. Now that E, actually has a counterplay vs champions, buff it's waveclear, make E do bonus damage or apply and proc her passive instantly on MINIONS ONLY. Then you might actually see Lux at worlds, or give her a chance to be a competitive pick, instead of giving her irrelevant buffs that can be reverted for all I care, because they solve nothing.

Her ult is waveclear. With max CDR you can practically ult every other wave :)

You know her E is massive waveclear, right?

She will never be a pick at worlds unless she gets a complete rework because all her stuff comes out in a straight line and you can shove her in by standing away from the wave so she makes the choice to waveclear or poke you.

Her E is enough waveclear, she doesn't need to be oneshotting waves at level 3 or 4. Her ult has like a 20 second cooldown, it's enough to waveclear.

Because she's a bit of a pubstomper, and making her use autos to farm until she has 200+ ap is one lever Riot uses to mitigate that.

If she didn't have to get in auto-range of back row minions to clear them, people that struggle to dodge her E wouldn't have windows to trade with her.

The only champ that feels like a double standard is Vel'koz. That dude throws out that carpet skill to shove waves repeatedly while still having 2 skills to harass with. Lux isn't great to be honest the higher you get. She just can't do much in lane because you need to use E to wave clear and makes it harder to harass plus her mana costs are very high. She's a great pubstomper champion but not much else unfortunately.

How about no :D. If you build a real AP item that isn't morellos, you can one shot caster minions. Just an FYI

She has more wave clear than Ziggs, and theyre the same class. She has a ton of clear, just max her E not her Q. By 3rd level you should execute mage minions and weaken melee to one auto attack of life with her passive.

Oh I almost forgot to leave this here.

Lux is a caster with a support emphesis. She specializes in controlling the battlefield with the constant threat of her crowd control abilities. She is similar to Morgana in playstyle, although her focus is more on her control and support aspects. ~ Miyuki "Shurelia" Mitsuhashi

Shurelia was Lux's designer if you didn't know. She doesn't need more waveclear, shes fine. Just play her as support, the way she was intended [slayer-jinx-wink]

because she has much more burst and cc than other artillery mages. Giving her wave clear would mean that xerath, ziggs, and vel'koz are all outclassed

The main problem people tend to have with lux isn't her wave clear per say, but rather the fact that (much like brand) she can chain her entire kit together with relative ease and secure quick kills on squishies. E-slow into q into ulti/auto, q into ulti into e-slow/auto, there are even a few you can apparently do just by landing your ulti straight away. While I wouldn't like to see a straight up nerf to her wave clear, removing a tiny bit of the slow on her e could force them to either build a rylai's or give people more ability to react to the combo.

In early game if they are nuking the minion wave, just let them push you into tower, and then full combo them. Easy trade. Also, late game when you will have a lot of AP and probably a Luden's, Lux's e can easily clear waves. You don't need early clear if you learn to manage the wave.
