I just streamed five consecutive losses.

Everyone watching thought I was playing in Silver. I'm Diamond. In the first game, our ADC decided it didn't want to play anymore and went AFK. In the remaining four games, my entire team played like they belonged in Silver.

I played very well in all five games, but these players were so horrendous that there was no way to help them. I would attempt to gank for them, and they would engage and die before I reached the lane. I would try to save them, and they would turn around and hopelessly attempt to kill the already fed enemy champions. They would watch the enemy team move through wards, ping them, and still get caught by them. Some of them would be really behind (0-4-0), and constantly push their lane to the enemy tower with no wards.

This isn't an acceptable level of play for anyone at Diamond. This can't just be blown off as a bad game, either; there are players like this in every single game.

Why isn't anything being done about this? Right now, individual contribution to the outcome of the game is being made non-existent by these players.

The matchmaking is just bad. When I did the placement matches this season I got placed in plat 2 and immediately went up to plat 1 and promos to diamond. I lose the promos at the last minute and its been nothing but a downwards spiral of teams that refuse to work together.

Its 20% skill 80% determination.

I have noticed that it isn't the team with the best player that wins, but the team with the worst player that loses.

Looks like you need to ward more often and keep track of your team mates so you can get there to gank when they need you.

Because you took too long to get to their lane, they were kind of screwed.

Hold on, let me ward behind the enemy turrets and be in every lane at the same time. While still somehow managing to clear my jungle.

God help me if I'm not jungling.

Yes I agree you shouldn't always try to ward behind enemy lines except in specific situations but your team mates were having issues because you didn't lay a ward and they already used all of theirs waiting for the gank. They used all their wards because they knew it would be soon a good time for you to come gank and help them out. You took too long and their wards expired, leaving them helpless and only hoping that you would make your way over to them soon.

So just make sure that they know they are placing their wards before you place yours so you can re-ward and they don't have to worry or recall to buy more wards since you couldn't re-ward their wards when they assumed you would. I think you also took a bit too long to upgrade your trinket. That can really make a huge difference and you will be able to help the laners a bit more instead of leaving them to die.

Do you realize that I've been playing at extremely high rating for five years? 15 LP below Challenger high. This post is neither useful, informative, or correct.

Yea but I thought you were looking for some help. No one can help you with bad team mates. Do you get better or same results when duo queue with a buddy?

This game is built so that your team is as weak as the weakest single player in it. This design has to change and even if Riot decides so it's gonna take a really lot of time and probably an overall review of every single champion.

Expecially in terms of late game, if you don't rush the win the gap between teams is going to evaporate just by farming some minions and there is no way for the team in advantage to keep said advantage up unless they get every single baron and dragon.

There should be ways to flag under-performing players, and each tier should have certain quality bars.

True, and that should also apply to "over performing" players. We basically need a "Single Player Performance Index" that gives every1 a bit more or less depending on how they played and if it's happening in many consecutive matches.

I really hate to be stuck in a team game where no1 actually cares about team play and the ones trying and performing well are to be dragged down by others or how well performing players give more chances to lazy and uncompetitive players (or even toxic ones) to win games and get the same credit as the ones giving their ass.

the only way you can tell the difference between a diamond game and silver game is the cs in diamond is bad, but still somehow higher than silver (which is really bad).

otherwise you can't tell, people face check and get caught, rarely ward, don't know how to play for objectives.

the only way to win consistently at this elo, is to literally hold your teammates hands.

Fixed that for you.

If you can't carry than you belong in that elo.
