Riot why are you buffing Nocturne in the wrong direction?

I like him, je is one of my fav. and I wouldn't be happy if a massive nerf hits him somewhere else just because of that 2.5 sec. fear lol....Isn't it a bit too muh? 2.5 secconds? If you really decided to buff him (he is not in a good state anyways) you should slightly increase his early game AS or reduce his mana costs early game because he really strugles with mana when he gives blue to the mid laner.

Yes, I know, Nocturne doesn't max it first and yes, it has a delay of 2 seconds and it's easy to brake using flash, dash or anything, and ye I know that most popular champions all have some sort of mobility but 2.5 seconds of far is just too much on a diver/assassin.

Just decrease his mana cost and leave everything as it is, he is just perfect.

im confused about the nocturne fear buff. Happened to play against one yesterday and that fear lasted just long enough for him to kill me already. And my buddy who mains nocturne believes its not even needed.

Ofc it's not needed. Well, he needs a buff but not that kind of a buff. Nocturne suffers from mana problems early game, other than that he's perfectly balanced champion and I am really worried this buff will push him over the edge and we all know, quite often that leads to a nerfhammer that's going to push Nocturne back even at the worst state than now.

Dicks out for nocturne buffs

Nocturne needs to be brought up-to-date with the game.

E actually rewarding you significantly for holding the tether is the first step.

The next is deleting Malz's passive and putting it in place of Noct's W.

But Riot isn't that good at game design.

I agree that Nocturne should be up to date but at the same time, this just seems to me as the wrong direction. He is kinda hard risk - low reward but not because of his E, 2 seconds fear is enough for the late game. If they really wanted to hit his E with a buff they should just slightly increase the fear duration early game and keep it at the same duration of 2 seconds at the late game. That should be fair. On top of that, Riot should decrease his mana costs early, not too much but slightly.

We all know how how Riot buffs champions. Every single time community said that X buff or X nerf to a X champion is wrong, it turned out to be true and patch or two later they hit that champion with a nerf on the wrong place so he's aint gonna be played for way too long.

Honestly, if they buff him then nerf him, it makes him all the more likely to be updated in the Diver roster update...so bring it, Riot.

But Nocturne doesn't need any kind of a big update or rework. He is just fine, maybe one of the healthiest divers in the game, best designed one.

Him being 'healthy' is exactly why he's subpar.

Other champions aren't 'fair' like Nocturne, and he can't perform reliably at all because of that. Especially in 'damage' metas (ironically) like this one.

I agree but I wouldn't be happy if Riot continues with making more overloaded champions lol. I don\t whink everyone should be like Yasuo, Ekko, Azir, Kled, etc. I am not saying they are OP but they are indeed overloaded, expecially Yasuo and Ekko. I remember when riot released Ekko I whought he had like 9 spells instead of 4 :D

This change (E duration) would not make him unfair. It would simply reward you more for landing a full E, which is honestly deserved. 2.5 seconds might be a bit much (in fact it was already reduced), but he deserves a duration buff nonetheless.

I don't believe even having Malz's passive as his W would be unfair, since he couldn't purposefully dodge CC anymore, making his chasing MUCH weaker, but his engage stronger.

Keep in mind that most people suck complete dick at the game on the PBE server, so even the 2.5 duration probably only looked strong because people started playing AD assassin Nocturne and snowballing, when the same exact thing would happen if they nerfed it to 1.5 seconds, even.

We will see. I am not worried about E duration, I am woried about other people bitching about it later since i really like Nocturne, I have all his skins and I would not be happy if Riot guts him lol D:

Riot has shown that they don't nerf just because of people complaining about a champ.

Especially a champ like Nocturne that's very hard to do well consistently with if he's not able to build tank and be successful, which Nocturne cannot this season.

I hope that you are right.
