Riot, can there be an option to not be shielded from being demoted??

Atm my solo queue MMR is trash because I went on a losing streak about a month ago. Since then I will win one to two games but then get a series of games which are guaranteed to lose. The afk, int feeder or having a silver 1 mid laner get stomped by a plat 3 mid laner. As such my mmr continues to drop, putting me with lower and lower quality players, yet the system ALWAYS puts me as the highest mmr player on my team.

Honestly I wouldn't mind getting instantly dropped down to gold 1 or 2 where my mmr sits so that I'm not stuck trying to hard carry a group of feeders every game.
