[Champion Concept] Zayde, The Shackled King

Zayde is a Fighter/Bruiser top laner, he has the ability to augment his abilities. He has a similar Passive to Aatrox and Rengar. The more damage he takes the more it fills up, when it reaches 100 he can boost one of his abilities. As he levels up he slowly starts becoming less human and more demonic and void-like, which he believes to be his true form.

LORE

Long long ago in an unknown land there was a very powerful tribe of warriors. They worshiped and were led by their strongest warrior, Zayde, who was like a God to them. So, believing he had the right to rule the world, he and his warriors set out to conquer it. After years of pillaging and fighting he finally created his kingdom, and was crowned Zayde The BloodKing after his thirst for blood. One day Zayde decided his power was not enough, his kingdom was not enough, this world was not enough, and so he set off alone into the realm of the unknown. He was never seen again, as a human. Years later there were tales of a great and powerful demon wearing royal clothing and a twisted crown, destroying the towns on the outermost edges of the kingdom. The BloodKing had become possessed by a very powerful Void beast, one feared even in the Void by the other Void creatures. Town after town fell to his evil blade, countless lives lost, and for each one his power grew. This went on for decades, until finally a young mage who was gifted in the arts of sealing, came to the BloodKings land to end Zaydes rampage. When he finally came across Zayde, he realized his abilities were no match and there was no human alive capable of stopping Zayde now. So fearing for all of humanity he decided he needed to at least weaken the BloodKing even if it cost him his life. Using all of his knowledge and power he cast a spell, a spell that turned his body and soul into powerful shackles, strong enough to hold back the Void creatures abilities and returning Zayde to his human form. Furious that he had lost his great power, Zayde wandered the world looking for someone strong enough to break the shackles. Centuries later, Zayde heard of a place called the League of Legends where many powerful people meet. Hoping someone there would be able to break his shackles, he set off so that once again he may rule the world.

##ABILITIES##

  • [Passive] [Unshackling ]: Whenever Zayde takes damage his Shackled bar will start filling up.

  • When it reaches 100, his next Ability will be in its True Form.

  • When Zayde hits an enemy champion with an ability the bar is filled up twice as much.

  • [Q] [Executing Slash ][11.5/11/10.5/10/9.5 second cooldown]: Zayde slashes downwards with all his might, cutting any enemy hit and knocking them backwards. Basic attacks reduce the cooldown by 1. Damage: Medium, low base damage but .8 Ad ratio

  • [True Form Q] [BloodKing's Execution ]: Zayde's sword is temporarily returned to its True Form, Zayde leaps into the air and lands in target location dealing damage and knocking all enemies around Zayde away. Damage: High

  • [W] [Hungering Will ][16/15/14/13/12 second cooldown]: Zayde's hunger for power is manifested by his will into a chain that links onto the enemy champion, stealing their Armor, Magic Resist, and AD. The stolen stats slowly return during the duration of Hungering Will. The farther away Zayde is from the targeted champion dictates how long Hungering Will lasts.
  • [True Form W] [BloodKing's Greed ]: Zayde's Will is temporarily returned to its full kingly magnificence, becoming so strong it overpowers its target stunning them upon impact in addition to stealing their stats. The farther away Zayde is from the targeted champion dictates how long King's Greeds' stun lasts Damage: None

  • [E] [Rejection ][10 seconds at all levels]:

  • Passive: Zayde gains 5% of his maximum life for each enemy champion around him.

  • Active: Zayde raises his shield and blocks all status effects for 1.5 seconds. Blocking a spell reduces its cooldown by 2 seconds.
    Damage: None

  • [True Form E] [BloodKings Tax]: Zayde's shield becomes its True Form, healing him for 30% of all damage for 2.5 seconds in addition to making him immune to status effects.

  • [R] [Unjust Judgement ][180/160/140 second coooldown]: Zayde picks a target, any enemies around that target are slowed by 20% and take constant damage equal to 10% of the targets maximum health plus 5% of Zaydes AD for 5 seconds. Damage: Medium
  • [True Form R] [BloodKing's Majesty ]: Zayde returns to his full form mulitplying Unjust Judgement's slow and damage by 1.5 and increases his Armor and Magic Resist by 10% for each enemy hit by Unjust Judgment. Damage: Medium

Zayde's only damaging spells are his Q and his R, this is because Zayde is a basic attack champion, the type of Bruiser/Fighter who when he goes in, he goes all in. His Q is his main damage skill, it is his disengage and when in True Form, his engage. Hungering Will is how he compensates for lack of damaging abilities, by stealing others stats. The possible plays that can be made here are what make me like this skill, you can either use W on the opponent you are fighting to give you an edge, or use it on a further away opponent to increase the length or maybe that person has higher stats. The True Form W is mainly used for 1v1 or peeling for carries. His E gives him a bit of tank and a type of spellshield that only blocks status effects, like slows, stuns, roots, etc. This will help him when he goes all in so he wont be easily kited, and in a teamfight his True Form E will heal him for 30% of all damage done to him during the duration of the skill, it really reinforces this unstoppable bloodthirsty king concept. His R embodies his King's justice, where what the king says goes. The debuff can be applied to any champion, friend or enemy, but it only effects enemy champions. His Ult does not really help in a 1v1 situation, the cooldown is too long, a teamfight is where this really shines. Place it on their backline and watch them melt, or place it on a friendly Lee Sin and watch him obliterate their team, place it on their tank and watch as he tries to protect his team only to hurt them or he runs away leaving you in an advantageous 4v5. True Form and place it on yourself and become a temporary tank for your team. DO NOT PLACE IT ON ADC! it does not slow the target of the spell, the spell is not to punish the target but any who associate with that person, hence the Unjust part of it. Overall i feel this champion will feel alot like Yi, or Tryndamee, or even Jax. While their kit doesn't really fit the jungle, im sure he will do fine although his ganks will be very lacking in CC.

Possible builds: Core items would be Trinity Force, Infinity Edge, and Blade of Ruined King. The rest would be defensive or maybe a Phantom Dancer and Bloodthirster. He can also be built straight tank and due to his scaling still be able to hold his own.

Feel free to comment, i love criticism as long as its constructive... If anyone thinks he needs some balancing please tell me in full detail how to fix it and i will try my best, im not so good at balancing so i wont know exactly what you mean.

Hmmm. Very few complaints, definately AA focused, would need to build tanky to not get insta-killed.

On his ultimate, the increased by 1.5 part is either a really unnecessary increase of 1.5%, the difference between a 21.5% slow and 11.5% Max HP and a 20% slow and 10% max HP is very small. I am not sure, but did you mean a 50% increase of damage, or a multiplier of 1.5?

He definitely seems very good... But in his W, is it amplified if he's closer to his target of farther from it? (I'd assume closer, but it isn't clear) Also, in his boosted E, when you say it heals him for 30% of the damage done, doesn't that just mean that he takes 30% less damage? And what did you mean by the passive? Does he get 5% increased healing, or does he physically heal 5% whenever an enemy champion gets close enough? (If he heals, that's overpowered because if he can straddle the line between an enemy being in and out of range, he can heal himself really quickly.) Also, on his ult, it probably should increase only increase his armor and MR whenever it hits en enemy champion because otherwise, it would double his defenses if he uses it near a minion wave... If you do that, you might want to buff the armor and MR gain, too (idk). About his passive: How quickly does it charge? And what do you mean by "When Zayde hits an enemy champion with an ability the bar is filled up twice as much"? His bar only fills when he is hit, does it not? When he hits an enemy with an ability, it fills up twice as much as what exactly? Or does it just double his bar filling temporarily (how long?)? And that's a REALLY high cooldown on his ult... As in, global ultimate high.

TL;DR: Pretty great, but needs clarification.
