I've created a gallery to showcase the art that the Factions community has created.

I'd like to highlight a few in particular.

Summoner 333lom created this portrait of Merricurry, the brilliant yordle scientist who unlocked the secrets of the "dark sand" and made the Hextech Revolution possible.
I think this is a neat look for female yordles: one step away from smurfs (Meglings) and toward vaguely the same species as Heimerdinger/Teemo. This portrait also really helped to develop Merricurry's character. I had only asked 333lom for a teensy little sketch-portrait; I was blown away when I got this a couple days later.

Summoner 333lom illustrated the front page of the first edition of The Summoner's Herald, our in-universe newspaper. It depicts the defense of Bandle City against an undead horde raised by Nefara, a Void-corrupted Shuriman lich.

I love the expressions of the yordles in the lower-right.

This is the arc banner for the very first Factions storyline, Mirrorwater, contributed by Summoner Omni Bearr. I've put it on the front page of LeagueFactions.net not only because it represents the first arc but also because I really like the tone it sets.

One new element we brought into this latest arc is a "research system" that allows Factions to pursue new technologies or other such projects, with bonuses or penalties based on how well they're doing in faction versus faction matches. These are two of my favorite research project images.

The first is the emblem of the HexKorps, Zaun's techmaturgical army. (It's got a skull on it.) This menacing mechanical visage is a fitting symbol for the hextech army by which Zaun has ascended to great power status in the wake of the Noxian collapse.

The second is the project image for Pharmakon II, a Zaunite arcano-elixir that gives its users Void-tainted psionic powers. My favorite touch: the Roman numerals on the syringe. It's a striking bit of anachronism that really brings out the flavor of Zaun's hextech research in a world of swords and sorcery.

Credit for these research project images goes to several people:

Finally, here's an imgur gallery:
