[Champion Concept] Raavo, Delight of the Kill

So i posted this a bit ago and then deleted it because i forgot to change the title after changing the concept XD.

Raavo (pronounce Ra-Ah-vo) is an assassin who uses both AP and AD. She is a melee champion but she is very agile and if used correctly is capable of dodging abilities. Like most assassins she can go invisible but it is very short and limited, her main damage lies in quick engages that her opponent has no idea is coming. She shines most in the Jungle, but mid and top or not impossible.

Raavo is a creature of the woods, humanoid but far from human. She has feathers for hair that go down her back and great big eagle like eyes. Her arms are striped like a tigers fur with claws to match, her torso is scaled like a snakes, and her legs while human in shape end in bird-like talons. The rest of her face is eerily human except her razor sharp snake teeth and large eyes. She is like a chimera but human shaped.


###Lore

Deep in an ancient forest, far away from any human civilization, there was an odd creature not found anywhere else in the world. In fact, this creature was the only one of its kind and being a mix of different creatures it had no place in the world. This creature called itself Raavo, which in its own tongue means "Perfection".

Raavo does not know where she learned her language, where she was created, or for what reason she exists. The only thing she does know is that she must kill any and all before her. Hunt them down, kill them, and move on to the next target. Why? she does not know, she does not care, she enjoys it and will continue doing so until it no longer makes her happy

Eventually there nothing left alive in her forest, nothing moved, nothing lived, all was quiet. Raavo angry and sad that there was nothing left for her in this forest that had been her home for so long, decided it was time to leave. Anxious and giddy, she set off in search of more things to kill hoping to find a place where the prey would never run out, where her sport would never grow tiring, a place where she could kill forever.

#ABILITIES

####Passive - Perfected Hunter
Raavo loves stalking her prey gaining 3/5/7% of her AD and AP when an enemy champion within 1000 range can not see her for 3.5 seconds or until her next basic attack or damaging ability.
Raavo loves to chase her prey gaining 4/7/10% movement speed when chasing an enemy within 750 range of her.
Raavo loves to kill her prey giving all her abilities special bonuses should they kill their target.


####Q - Eagles Strike - 60/65/70/75/80 mana - 12/11/10/9/8 seconds
Raavo leaps into the air an at an enemy target becoming untargetable and slashing them with her talons for 50/65/85/115/145 + 50% of her AD + 30% of her AP. If the target dies from Eagles Strike she can cast it again within 2 seconds to return to her original position and the cooldown will be reduced by 6 seconds.


####W - Claws of the Hunter - 75/80/85/90/95 mana - 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 seconds
Raavo unleashes a savage slash with her claws rending the enemy targets flesh for 85/100/125/140/155 + 60% of her AD and causes them to bleed for 55 + 50% of her AP over 3 seconds. If Claws of the Hunter kills the target she will heal for 15/25/35% of the damage done.


####E - The Snakes Bite - 70 mana - 13/12/11/10/9 seconds
Raavo turns invisible for 2 seconds her next basic attack will deal 55/75/95/115/135 + 40% of her AP and slowing the target by 15/30/35/40/45% for 2.5 seconds. If The Snakes Bite kills the enemy target she will turn invisible again for another 2 seconds.


####R - Reign of the Huntress - 100/120/140 mana - 140/110/80 seconds
Passive - Raavo gains 10/15/20% bonus life steal for 15 seconds after killing an enemy champion or large/epic monster.
Active - Raavo goes in for the kill leaping at enemy champion dealing 200/275/350 + 60% of his AD + 30% of her AP and marks all enemy champions within 750/1000/1250 range of that champion with Prey giving her true sight of them for 2.5/3.5/4.5 seconds. If Reign of the Huntress kills the target champion Raavo will be able to reactivate this ability for 2/3/4 seconds and leap to any enemy marked by Prey. Will reactivate each time Reign of the Huntress kills an enemy champion

####Explanations

Raavo is a simple champion with simple moves. Just a note, her damages, mana costs, cooldowns, and scalings can be changed. The same goes for her abilities as long as i feel they fit her concept.

Her passive seems a little OP because it does so much! but it does a lot of little things that only add up to something useful. In my mind she is meant be played as a jungler so her passive fits that role. The last part of her passive only activates should her abilities kill the target, not her basic attacks and not an allies attacks.

Her Q is similar to Yi's Alpha and i guess Quinns leap (if she kills them) but it only hits 1 person and she end up right next to the target.

Her W is a basic attack reset and meant to be used in conjunction with her Q, its bleed is meant to pick off them stragglers.

Her E is more like Kha'zix ultimate except she can only do it once unless it kills the target and she gains no bonuses, it is mostly used for the slow and invisibility which is why i figured it would be best to make it scale off of AP only. I hope she would be built with a bit of both but giving it both scalings seemed a bit much.

Her R does a decent amount of damage and is sort of like a "clean-up" ability meant to be used when everyone on their team is almost dead so she can just jump from enemy to enemy killing them off. The weaknesses of this skill is 1) its scalings are low 2) if you dont kill the enemy you are now in the midst of the enemy and 3) even if you leap from target to target you can still be hit by abilities, including all form of CC. So if they are skilled enough they can stop you.

EDIT:
7/16/14 - Added a duration for her passive AD/AP bonuses so she doesnt lose them immediately upon being seen.

  • Changed some of her scalings such as added scaling to her bonus heal on her W, reduced slow on her E, changed her ults passive lifesteal, and significantly reduced how long she has to use her ult again upon kill.
  • Changed her Q so CD scales with level but the passive bonus can only be activated by champion kill or Large monster kill.

I think this has the potential to be a strong and fun champ, but there are some issues I'm finding.

The passive seems a little confusing; when invisible, she gains AP and AD, but as soon as she attacks them and becomes visible, she loses the buff? Maybe make it so that after becoming visible she retains the buffs for a certain amount of time.

As for her overall kit, she seems a little too slippery for her amount of damage and mobility. I would suggest that you give an MS buff instead of invisibility on her E and reduce the slow percentage or duration so you can catch her if she makes a mistake.

For her passive, she should keep the bonus AP/AD for a short duration AFTER she is seen, because it kind of makes it useless if you can't use that extra AP/AD. Her Q should probably having a reduced CD per level, because I feel that it would just be way too long a CD later on. The empowered W heal should scale; the heal seems a bit too strong for my liking early on. Her ults passive should be changed a bit: the lifesteal is way to high. If you had your jungler let you take a large minion early on, and you were low, that would just be ridiculous. Should probably change the scaling of that to maybe 10/15/20. For the ult, that's just a way to large window to use your ultimate again, considering how much damage it deals; I would say a 3 second window, otherwise, it just becomes OP.

Overall, I like the idea, but it does need a bit of cleaning up (seems a bit too strong overall).

She seems like a cool champion... Does she really need 2 gapclosers and an invisible? That just seems like a bit much... Especially since they can all be activated multiple times (1 for escaping, 1 for dunking (like Darius), and 1 for either). Also, I think it might be advisable to only let the bonus effects activate if she kills an enemy champion or a large/epic monster. Otherwise, she could E or ult and bounce off of any amount of minions before hitting the champion, for example. If she did it right, she could be invisible for around 10 seconds in a row...

TL;DR: Too much mobility, kill effects should only activate on champion or large/epic monster kill.
