[Champion Concept] Miki, the Shadow's Apprentice

Miki is a mid lane mage who uses shadows as his abilities, he is a burst mage but he has some DoT as well. He is still in his apprentice stage, but because of night terrors he needed to be locked away in the League. He is a teenager 16-18 years old and is always looking into a large book he carries like when he casts an abilitiy. He wears all black clothing that looks similar to Edward Scissorhands and has white hair.

###Lore
Miki was abandoned as a baby in a dark alley in Noxus. Luckily he was found by a traveling sorcerer, who quickly learned why Miki had been abandoned. Miki had the mark of a shadow user on his arms and chest, and even as a baby was capable of moving the shadows around him. The sorcerer decided to take him to a school he knew of outside of Noxus that specialized in dark magics. Where he would live and train his unique magic.

Miki's terrifying genius was shown very quickly when he was old enough for training. He could use any spells, even spells only grand masters were capable of, just by seeing them or reading about them. It was almost as if something beyond this world was lending him power

Miki had two flaws though, the first was his unexplained inability to remember the spells he could use despite how hard he tried, he was constantly looking them up in his books. His second flaw was far more dangerous for when he slept, he had terrible night terrors and visions that would use the shadows to take bizarre shapes. The Masters could barely keep the shadow abominations from going out into the world, fearing the destruction they would cause

The Masters feared Miki more then anything else, his skill with the Shadows was too strong and he was only getting stronger, and the stronger he got the strong his Shadow Nightmares would be. They decided that they needed to send Miki somewhere safe, where the world could be protected from him, somewhere he would be surrounded by other strong and talented people where he could fit in.

That was when they were contacted by a representative of the League of Legends, who had heard of Miki's talents and his problems. They offered to shelter him, where his night terrors could not effect the outside world, in exchange Miki would fight for them. So Miki of the Shadows joined the League of Legends, along with all his books.

##ABILITIES

[Passive][Shadow Corruption ]: Whenever Miki hits an enemy champion with an ability they are marked with a stack ofCorruption, after 3 stacks the next ability on that enemy will deal bonus magic damage equal to 50 + 10% of his AP over 4 seconds. Can not be used on same champion within 10 seconds

[Q][Shadow Drip ][80 mana][9 sec]: Miki throws a liquid-like shadow ball at target location hitting all enemies within a radius around impact area, dealing 80 + 120% of his AP over 3 seconds. Any enemies that die while under the effects of Shadow Drip will bounce to the next living target under the effects of Shadow Drip dealing 60% reduced damage to the new target over 3 seconds. Max bounces to one target is 5

[W][Dark Lagoon ][65 mana][12 seconds]: Creates a pool of shadow at target location dealing 45 + 20% of his AP as magic damage every second for 5 seconds, also adds a stack of Shadow Corruption every second. Miki moves 20% faster through Dark Lagoon

[E][Impaling Shadow ][70 mana][8 seconds]: Creates a shadow spike behind enemy target impaling them for 100 + 80% of his AP as magic damage. If the target is below 50% life Impaling Shadow will deal a bonus 60 + 15% of their missing life as magic damage.

[R][Shadow World ][110 mana][140 seconds]: Miki channels for 1 second then sinks into his shadow and moves to target enemies shadow, then he reappears behind them and surrounds himself with shadow in a large radius around him, any enemies in the circle are sucked into the shadow rooting them for 1.5 seconds and dealing 200 + 140% of his AP as magic damage to the target champion and 75 + 140% of his AP magic damage to all other enemies in the radius.

####Explanations

Miki is sort of a burst DoT mage, he deals tons of damage but has no sustainability. My main influence is Malzahar who is my favorite mid of all time, i also thought about Brand and Vel'Koz. All numbers can be changed for balancing im merely just throwing them out for a general idea. I believe his Passive is self-explanatory.

His Q might seem a little complicate so lets explain it here, his Q will splash onto all enemies around the impact location, radius similar to Zyra's spikes. If an enemy dies the damage will go to the nearest target being effected by his Q and do 60% reduced damage adding to the damage they are already taking. So say you hit Champion X with his Q and there are 4 minions around him that also get hit, all the minions die from the Q before the 3 seconds are up, the shadow then bounces to Champion X who now has 5 stacks of Miki's Q on him doing 60% reduced damage.

His W is pretty simple and can be used to chase or to escape, using this in conjunction with his E or R can cause some high damage.

His E is also pretty simple, if they are below 50% life it acts as a small execute or thats what im trying to go for.

His R might a bit less simple, first he channels and then he sinks into his shadow becoming invincible for a short period, then he moves to the targeted enemy champion popping out of the ground behind them and then creates the shadow circle, the radius is roughly the same size as Veigars stun. Any enemies within the circle including the target enemy are rooted and take damage. This move is meant for chasing an enemy that has flashed away from you as the target range is fairly large and teamfights where this could be an engage.

So go ahead and leave a comment, tell me if anything needs fixing or if you have any ideas for better abilities and i will get right on it. If you like it please Upvote! if you dislike it go ahead and Downvote, but please do me a favor and tell me why at least so i can try and fix it. Thanks, and be sure to check out my other champ designs i will be creating a thread with all of them in it very soon.

Too much power in one champion. As is it would not be balanced. High damage, +cc, +on kill benefit, +self buff, +debuff, +aoe, +dot, +repositioning, +HP based effect... it's just too many things that are good individually all on the same champion. Zed+Malzahar+Karma+stuns is what comes to mind. You need more focus in the abilities. Does he have burst damage or utility? Does he do Dot or Debuff or AoE?

Lore seems a bit weak, but I'm not much of a writer, so not sure what best to suggest. Joining the league is usually more a big deal than "maybe he'll take interest" as if it's just some in-state university the adults want him to go to. Story wise there seems to be a lack of cohesiveness. You have shadow focus first paragraph, genius second paragraph (the flaw isn't really very... flaw like, or tied to the shadow theme), the last paragraph leaves this genius shadow master feeling like he's some little kid being sent to boarding school. Where is his own initiative? What drives him to compete?

Would you like your champions to be in the Champion Compendium (Community Beta Edition)?

He seems cool, but... He has really high scalings. First off, his Q has 1.2 AP scaling in an AoE spell. Malzahar's E only has 80% scaling and is single target. Also, if you get a perfect hit and get 4 minions and a champion, then kill off the minions, it can have over 4 AP scaling. This is on a normal ability with a 9 second cooldown that doesn't seem too difficult to hit. Secondly, his ult has a really high scaling, for a spell with such a wide AoE. However, that isn't really the main problem with his ult... How exactly does it help him? Sure, it's good for chasing, but it sends a squishy champion with "no sustainability" directly into the middle of the enemy team and doesn't even impair their ability to deal damage. Also, he has no real reason to be near his enemies. He doesn't have any short-range spells that target all nearby enemies or anything. He just launches himself into the middle of their team and gets melted instantly.

TL;DR: Too high scalings, ult doesn't really fit.
