When will the Franchised NALCS teams be announced?

I’ve seen some articles coming out out here and there about DIG and about The Warriors owner getting in. Just curious when everything becomes official. Who is guaranteed a franchise spot and who is guaranteed leaving.

That will probably be news they save for after Worlds. Or at least until NA is fully out. So maybe next Sunday.

Any current NA teams you’re positive will make it?

G2 or any EU team couldn’t legally play in NA due to the regional restrictions. Unless RIOT changes the rules or G2 gets a NA team.

From what I can understand, the "official" announcement will be made exactly two weeks before the start of free agency, or in the November 6th range. This will be to give teams the time needed to either buyout contracts of players they're not using (in the case of denied teams) or to give them time to prepare lists of who they want to target (for everyone else).

Also, according to a few rumors I've been hearing NV, P1, Dig, and TSM are expected to be out while C9, CLG, IMT, and the golden state warriors thingy are in.

NV P1 and Dig out. IMT, CLG, C9, GSW and Optic seem in. And yes EU teams applied just to show how shit Riot is dealing with their region.

I knew they applied. It doesn’t make sense to me for RIOT to franchise some leagues and not the others. Honestly, I don’t like the franchise idea anyway. Riot is continually trying to figure out what is best for their personal bank accounts with no concern for the teams, players, and fans.

It is incredibly sad to hear how bad it is in the EU LCS, especially because there still isn't any concrete information on the format that we'll be running. I can totally understand EU teams wanting to leave that behind and go to NA, though I'm kind of happy that 3/4 teams that applied didn't get accepted (and potentially the 4th neither). If all those 4 teams would have left, they may as well have disbanded the EU LCS.

After hearing the news of DIG not making it in, and a new team (that I as an EU player have no knowledge of) making it in, I am very curious what 10 teams will face off next year.

So yeah, gonna just add to this thing. NV and P1 are "officially" OUT, while OpTic Gaming are IN.
