Is Dyrus bad? Or is everybody scared of him?

Now, it's pretty common knowledge to anybody who has kept up with the LCS, MSI or Worlds that Dyrus gets camped every single game. We've seen Dyrus have huge games when he's on carry champions, most notably his Olaf versus Liquid. Does anybody think he is camped because people know what he can do? Or because he is weak? Personally, I think he should already know what every teams plan is, because he openly admits to "tilting" very quickly in games. I think most teams strategy is to tilt him really early so they are essentially playing 4v5's. I believe that Dyrus has the capability to play exceptionally well at times, or when Santorin actually helps him out. If I was TSM, I wouldn't camp Bjerg at all because he can 2v1 most times and has the mechanics to get himself out of situations easier. Anybody else think this is a thing?

Dyrus gets caught out too much. And he doesn't seem to anticipate the 3v1 or 4v1 tower drives.. Eventhough they come EVERY game.

And yea, Santorin almost never helps. I really don't know what has happened to Santorin. Of the 3 games so far, there isn't even one that I think he played even "ok" in.

He does have some bad plays sometimes, and that's mainly due to the enemy team always camping him because they know TSMs strategy revolves around getting Bjerg or Turtle fed. They use Dyrus as a sacrifice to do that, while the enemy team tries to snowball an advantage from the weaker top lane; it's why Dyrus likes to play champions that are still useful even when behind, like Lulu, Rumble, and Maokai.

That doesn't mean that he can't carry when he gets a damage dealer (Olaf and Gnar primarily, but sometimes Rumble) and gets ahead, but that generally doesn't happen, because the team needs him to be the sacrificial extra support

Dyrus's veteran status and dominating performances in previous seasons have made him someone Eastern teams tend to fear over other players in TSM. You can see teams doing the same thing they do to sOAZ in Origen, but sOAZ has learned to avoid those ganks and his team backs him up more.

In my personal opinion Dyrus has been way too inconsistent. He should consider retiring if he cannot step up his game at Worlds.

I dont think Dyrus is terrible. But, he makes very poor decisions that hurt his team, which make very poor decisions in relation to Dyrus to begin with. They often sacrifice him and set him up to fail/perform poorly. But, he makes it even worse for himself/harder on himself by his own poor decisions when he constantly gets caught for no reason at all.

Thats Dyrus's biggest issue; he simply dies for no reason too often. Even in that LDG game, he died for no reason at all botlane. Just randomly over-extending, and dying.

Outside of that, I dont think hes that bad. Its hard to really judge how good a player is, when he is constantly behind for either no fault of his own, or for randomly dying to something stupid. If they could fix those 2 issues, I think he would match up good enough. Look at balls and C9. These top lane champions are not that hard for these pro's to play. But, when you are 50cs down becuase of bad lane swaps, and randomly dying because of no wards, its hard to really be useful at that point.

His team rarely backs him up, his jungler is often on the other side of the map during one of the 3man dives

You guys know that Turtle would probably get shit on if they supplied Santorin to the top lane. There is a reason why they are down there so much. Turtle is on Dyrus's boat but he doesn't want to tilt it so it capsizes. I thought TSM was one of the best if not the second best team at worlds last year based on their SSW performance but since Lustboy is making dumb mistakes, Bjerg is becoming mortal, Turtle is either way too cocky or is given all the resources and doesn't do much with it, Santorin is young and is not in his prime yet, and Dyrus is still the second best player on the team that knows this and wants to make something happen but gets camped and tilts. He just wants to carry cuz he knows that Bjerg can't do it alone.
