Why does Worlds start at 7pm EST when it's finally hosted in NA?
It seems odd, at least for the games on the weekend.

Because that's 4 in the pacific time zone, where worlds are actually being hosted.
To put it around primetime in the local region. 4-10 PM is a really nice time slot to have for Riot. It sucks for us east coasters, but it's to be expected.
