Dyrus has been reminding me a LOT of Freddy 122 this season. He has great potential, but he tends to get lazy in lane, over extends, doesn't ward as well as he could for KNOWING his lane will be focused.

I really like Dyrus too....but I actually do think he's holding TSM back a bit.

I dont disagree with that and when dyrus gets killed in a 1v1 it hurts but when the other team is diving him and camping top i really think santorin needs to do something in that situation to get an advantage by ganking botlane to take dragon or counter gank and get a kill or 2.

Good points sir, but when I say leaving him alone is scary I didn't mean for 1v1 scenarios, I meant once he makes it to team fights he generally plays champs with good engage, CC, or survivability. And if he gets enough farm a really tough opponent. Just because his kda is low and has a weak 1v1 doesn't mean he needs canned.

They camp him because it's easy and predictable gold income.

That's what I'm saying though, most top laners are playing a carry of some sort. Where he is playing sustain/tank champions. Most top laners that are being played are champs who can get to the back line fast like Shyvana, Hecarim, etc but also have very good sustain in lane. Dyrus really hasn't moved along with the meta still playing front line tanks.

I feel like Dyrus always has the mindset that he is going to be camped and nothing is going to be done about it. Santorin, who is new to this team, is the one who actually needs to step it up in my honest opinion. Yes he did great in NA matches at the start of the season, but now that things are heating up he seems a little lost. It might help the entire team to sit down and work out a strategy: either have Dyrus branch out a little into more brawly laners and camp him as much as the enemy does for some snowballing up top, or continue to ignore him, but actually pressure mid and dragon heavily with Bjerg.

I can agree with this-I mean, what were the Dallas Cowboys w/o Aikman, Emmet Smith, Michael Irvin....Yeah, Dyrus is pretty much the face of TSM after Regi stepped aside. IMO-to go off of what you said "I just think something needs to give...." I know what that is, and it's TSM's winning record. They have to make the decision to bring in fresh blood that can keep up, or stay with the face/names that partially got them to where they are now. I do believe Dyrus is the weak link on TSM currently, and while they sit on top of NA, if they want more world wide respect, they'll need to change Dyrus to compete successfully on a global level.
