How many of those guys are arguably the best players on their team?

Hopefully OHminus can respond as this is HIS post but wanted to give my opinions. " Disclaimer: This is my opinion, not fact" - Ohminus ;] Mata-Swordart-Aphromoo-Mithy-Biofrost

No offense, but dude....biofrost?

He is good.Really good.Particulary for a rookie. But you just said that biofrost is the best player on TSM....You know, the team with one of the best ADC NA and a top 2 to 5 depending on the person you ask mid laner.

Biofrost is good, but he is clearly not TSM best player [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

TBakes1 votes

I thought the exact same thing lol

But, I think most people rank Bjergsen #1 Mid NA. Who do you think is better? Jensen?

Takito2 votes

Meant world my bad hahaha

TBakes1 votes

Ohhhh, that makes much more sense. Yeah, I would say he is S tier in the World. I would peg him at 3rd out of the teams represented at Worlds. Faker and Kuro are generally better.

Takito1 votes

No , i put him above Kuro ...Behind Faker and maybe/probably Crown too.And seeing as Crown is in their group, it's gonna be an exciting matchup

Maybe I thought of the question from the Riot dude wrong. I thought it was who was the best player on their respective team,(maybe just for this split) ?

Bjergsen- I love Bjergsen(no homo) but you could tell he was less of a shotcaller and more of a follower on TSM this split opposed to previous splits, so he got to focus more on KDA, being safe, with a much better roster to item 1001.
He also took a back seat to mainly Doublelift with the (shotcalling-being the main carry etc) and who protects D-Lift? Biofrost.

Can we all say what a difference Biofrost 17-1 > Yellowstar 6th seed is !

The greatest western rookie of all time so far.

I will talk more about my reason later, need to go but wanted to give some thoughts while I could.

Takito1 votes

He is a very good rookie but even then...

With your logic, that means most support would be the best players on their team since a lot of supports are the shotcallers for their teams...

And best player doesn't mean shotcall. For me , best player is the guy that can change the game alone.Let's be honest, if you watch TSM, biofrost might make some sick plays, but bjerg is the one solo killing people, destroying cs and just destroying his opponent.

None. Supports don't get to be the best player on their team.

Mata was the MVP 2 years ago.

Imo GorillA, Mata, Aphro, and Likkrit.

Hence why I call group A the "support group"

TBakes1 votes

I would say 3: Mata, Aphromoo, SwordArt.

Smeb, Faker, Doublelift+Bjergsen, Ambition?, Athena?, Zven+Trick, Jensen+Sneaky, Ziv?, Jankos?, Kira, Wunder?, Revolta

P.S. I did not realize how hard it is to rank individual players within a team until just now :o

Is this supposed to be a rhetorical question to make us think of the importance of these players to their teams, or are you disagreeing with his list without specifying what exactly is off? If you're asking for a number, it would be 4.

1 MATA 2 WOLF 3 GORILLA 4 MEIKO 5 SWORDART 6 MITHY 7 APHROMOO 8 VANDER 9 BIOFROST 10 MIKYX 11 ROAD 12 WRAITH 13 SMOOTHIE 14 ALBIS 15 LIKKRIT 16 JOCKSTER

I almost completely agree with these rankings. I would put Gorilla and Meiko above Wolf. I would also put Biofrost above Vander, and Wraith above Mikyx and Road. Nice rankings!

TBakes1 votes

I agree with most everything except Gorilla and Meiko above Wolf, Aphro above Mithy, Wraith above Mikyx and Road. Otherwise, nice rankings!

APhromoo isa fucking god how is he that low he is defenitley better than biofrost

Lentibear1 votes

Ha, let's see.

Linthe1 votes

Yea, Moo is too low..

And although he had an amazing split.... I think Bio is too high. Maybe time will prove this list correct.. but IMO we need more proof on Bio. Maybe just swap those two for now.

Bjerg is #1 mid NA. Jensen is fine. Bjerg is better.

  12. Vander
  13. Smoothie
  14. Albis
  15. Mikyx
  16. Jockster You have somewhat the right idea for the top 5. You seem to think however that the remaining supports from China and Korea are right below them... Another thing, is that you undervalue Mithy, Aphromoo, Swordart, and Likkrit. If you remove any of these player from their teams, and put in their subs, it would be much more detrimental, than if you removed Wraith and put in CoreJJ. If CoreJJ started, then I would say that almost nothing has changed(No offense to Wraith, he's an excellent support.) and that SSG will still(in all likelihood) emerge from Group D as the second seed.

I would've ranked Aphro higher, personally - he's been suffering due to his team struggling but he still looks quite good despite that. And I think Biofrost is benefiting from the strength of his team and looks way better than he legitimately is. Aside from that, pretty solid list.
