He left in a sort of controversy regarding riot's policies and/or personal branding. I believe he has a vlog where you can't find more information.

it was pay related iirc? Something about blizzard paying him well above what castors should be paid, vs rito not paying. I know quite a bit of the drama

I do watch some of his vlogs when they aren't an hour long if they're on interesting subjects.

isn't the LCK a totally different group tho and has nothing to do with rito?

OGN is seperate from Riot but since it's still league, I assume they still get a say in who is casting. I could be wrong though, maybe it's just Monte who doesn't want to be associated with Riot anymore.

I do know though that it's highly unlikely that we'll see him again with League.

Both he and DoA took an indefinite leave from League casting. Whether it was Monte's conflicts with Riot over that particular year, pay in general, or just a need for a change of pace, that goes up to the opinion of the fans. DoA did release a vlog with Monte regarding their leave, oddly titled

As far as I know, they duo cast Overwatch League APEX on the OGN Network on Fridays (hence the day skip between Thursday and Saturday for LCK broadcasts).
