C9 Throwing on Purpose

IncrediPhiLL··3 votes·1,053 views

I've posted this conspiracy theory before, but just want to remind everyone that C9 does not care about the NA tournaments. They know TSM is gonna be given the trophy and there is no need to waste their effort to try and keep it from happening. Lol eSports has a small following that is dominated with a 75% fan base for one team. All NALCS is and ever will be is one big program run and decided by Reginald to appease the majority of the fans so they don't leave to watch something else.

C9 has shown this in their play in the past and reiterated it today. They purposely threw the finals series last split against TSM. It doesn't take an expert to see that. They put on a descent show of it. They purposely threw the series today. Shown clearly by their draft in which they simply didn't care. Only game they won is when DIG tries to BM and pick Nocturne. This wasn't a series today. It was a formality. They'll show up in the promotion tournament, as they've done the past 2 years.

And before you guys ask, NO, the moon landing wasn't faked. Get a new line.

Why In gods name would a team upset their fans on purpose? C9 lost fair and square to dig.

They kept going for team comps that don't have much protection for sneaky. No Ashe arrow, no lulu, etc. They kept letting lockdown champions like Maokai through. They never once picked Shen. They lost man.

Edit: lol. Some solution, reapered.

Dignitas carried by an Ardent Censer Janna lmao

Sivir with nothing but shield being spamming on her and C9 couldn't even touch that backline because of Janna ult/more ardent censer.

Why would they throw and possibly subject themselves to the gauntlet when by winning they'd have guaranteed themselves that if TSM went on to win the split they'd be the #2 seed. It simply doesn't make sense.

Now if TSM goes on to win the split and IMT gets second, then IMT gets the #2 seed.

C9 is already guaranteed the gauntlet. And I think they prefer it that way. They ran the gauntlet the last 2 years and finished better than any NA team at worlds. If It ain't broke, don't fix it.

They are now. But had they won they'd have had the possibility of winning the summer or getting the most points and going as the #2 seed. There is a difference this worlds between the #1 and 2 seeds vs the #3. The #3 has to do the play in round. 1 and 2 are in the group stage. Further, nobody is going to deliberately risk the gauntlet if they have a chance to do otherwise. There's no way C-9 in their right minds would be deliberately throwing it.

Your team loses, it happens, not all teams make it.

Ridiculous salt.

There is a reason C9 fell into the bottom half of the standings early in the split. They do not draft well. Jensen does not translate lane leads into team gains. Sneaky and Smoothie are not the top rated duo this split they have been in the past.

C9 just plain got outplayed and everyone just assumed they would roll on by like they have in the past. I expected with the way they closed out the split that they would take it, especially with a week off to prep.

I seriously hope C9 does not make worlds, because if they can't bring their best to the NA playoffs, they would embarrass us internationally with an awful flop.

They've made worlds through the gauntlet before and yet then were the best performing NA team at worlds. Long time to get things fixed between now and worlds.

C9 always performs the best at worlds despite being put in the worst groups.

With that said, I think it was the draft that killed the match for them. They didn't respect Maokai and Sunday enough to continuously. Instead, they hoped that they can win the game through strong split push. Dig knew that the game is all about teamfighting hence the picked the tanks (Mao) and removed Jensens mid pick. C9 on the other hand prioritized split push on top lane, and trist.

They got out drafted without a doubt. However, credit due to the bot lane of Dig that did outplay C9's

Cloud9 lost to stronger, more masculine men I think. This is a reach of a theory at best a not too bad troll at worst. If you have other such explanations for other events I wanna hear it ;)

Stronger more masculine men? Are you implying that a girl or a non masculine man couldn't be successful in League? I didn't think it had anything to do with gender or masculinity. I could be wrong...

Masculinity is an advantage in league as it is in chess or contact sports.

It's not like any lol pro is the epitome of masculine. Put any of them in an MMA ring and they'd probably get their spines broken. And that's against the females.

WorryWolfy1 votes

The females in MMA are not especially competent even compared to high school boys. That said, yes, league pros are not the epitome of masculine but would be female pros are less than successful and the manlier players are the better ones.

The female mma competitors would crush any league player in the ring. I wouldn't put Dardoch up against one. Heck, if it was Dardoch vs a mean nasty Philly meter maid in an mma ring. I'm putting my money on the meter maid.

Would be funny to sea broxa in such a ring, fighting with a women ;^)

It's bad enough you're being salty when your team loses, don't be a feminist at the same time.

No, C9 picked and banned like a bunch of idiots. Why let Mao through a ban phase when Dig has picked it every chance they could this entire summer split. Instead, they used a ban on Cassiopea and then put Jensen on a AD.

Normally, i say C9 has a great draft plan for teams but this is perhaps the worst Ive seen from them

Their draft phase was purposefully done. They were trying to throw from the get go. Best drafting team in the league makes that draft 4 games in a row on accident? I don't think so.
