So I recently filled in for someone who couldn't make it to a tournament and we ended up winning, I just found at this morning that my tournament prize was given to the player i replaced on the team

This was the tournament progression

These were the games that were played, you can cross reference the other players on my team to see they have probably gotten their RP and ryze skin but I have not.

Can any rioter help with this? I am Man Dr0p in these games.

Actually, the community doesn't get anything from Riot; Riot distrubutes the points directly to accounts based on results reported by the organizer.

From my past experience Riot has required prizing to go to the summoners participating in the finals match of the tournament; any roster submitted other than this (if manually inspected by a rioter) may result in invalidation of prizing.

AH nice thnx for the correction! I haven't dealt with it in a few years.

That's nice that they are doing that now.

As long as riot was providing the points for said tournament he should be able to get his points from support after much work and spamming haha.

You'll probably want to submit a Support Ticket instead. If they responded here there's a good chance that's the only thing they'd tell you.

Make sure you contact the event organizer with the same information and have them contact Riot as well.

submitted a ticket, contacted the organizer and posting on the forums, pursuing all viable avenues to get a response

Hey I understand your frustration.

If you read the TOS under the Section regarding to the free riot points the community obtained from riot it states something to the effect of.

"All roster must be sent to them prior to the tournament begging and all prizes must go to the assigned players on the roster"

even if someone is subed in.

This is sadly how it works. Riot makes Community's jump through hoops to get the free riot points to host tournaments like this.

If the community were to give you the prize they could risk never being able to get points from Riot again for their tourneys.

So as everyone else stated send a ticket to them and the community but im 100% Posative this is what both will tell you.

At least they will have the link to the rules so you can read for yourself.

hope this helps,

surely someone over at riot would see the absurdity of granting rp to people who didn't play in a tournament?

YOU SO BAD1 votes

Its not about that.

Its the fact the the community's get the points from riot for free.

All matches are actually tracked.

If they didn't have this rule nothing would stop a community from just obtaining and reselling/giving away ect infinite riot points.

"not a very good business model"

Its a dumb rule but that's what they are going to tell you and thats how it is and why its that way.

Contacting support might get you something though. If they are nice. Considering you Have the match history and info to back it up. they are pretty good about making people happy with little stuff like this.

:(

best of luck.

24 hours and still no response from riot support, is this normal?

YOU SO BAD1 votes

yeah,

when they finally do respond it will be some copy and past B.S. that will link you to their support forums.

You will then have to continue to spam the ticket to get a real person/response.

with millions of accounts and a support team of no more then 15-20 people it can only be expected.

got a response from riot, gonna be a week or so before we work things out but it looks optimistic
