C9 never should have let them have Xayah and Rakan on the same team. That's obvious. I think they just got a little cocky and didn't think that OP combo was going to beat them. After all, CLG almost lost with it anyways, but at least RIOT can now see how much they goofed with those champs, and we may finally get the much needed nerfs. A cross map unflashable point and click permastun is a little op to say the least... and to combo it with the Orianna is just stupid. Mark my words, Rakan nerfs incoming. I've been begging them to nerf that champ since his release... and maybe now they'll understand XD Thank you for showing them how OP it is Aphromoo. Thank you for dealing us poor soloque players the nerf.

They had the synergy, and the synergy is what let them win. It's like the old Jarvan/Gnar combo, or Orianna + (insert initiation champ here) combo.

Aphro made Rakan look OP, but I can safely say that Rakan isn't that strong.

That's fair. Their aren't many good Rakan players out there in Phreak's soloque, but on the pro scene, there are several. His range on his dash will get significantly nerfed and it will be because of this game. That's all I'm saying. Not taking anything away from Aphro, but it is what it is.

Sorry to say, but OP.GG shows a very different picture. I've stalked Rakan "masters" win rates, and they usually only win either with Xayah or Lucian and even with the Lucian games there are other outside forces because the Rakan is usually one of the least effective on the team. Xayah MAKES Rakan look good. There have been a rare game or so where I've seen a good score from the Rakan specifically without Xayah, but they're so rare it's laughable.

Rakan's E has literally double the range with Xayah compared to anyone else, that's why he's so strong with a Xayah. On his own, he's not so much.

The thing is yes, I do think Rakan needs a nerf and so does Xayah but at the same time tho, the more OP Champions there are the better in Riot's mind. They want champions to all be OP to the point of making the games in both LCS and solo Q be faster and quicker. Do I think Rakan will be nerfed to a point of being = to both parties the Rakan and the player that's facing Rakan, No, I don't.

I think a nerf is incoming on range due to this game, but that's about it. I don't think Rakan is particularly good, but with a team that has half a brain (this eliminates almost every soloque team), it's hard to lose when he can cross map stun the entire backline.

Actually, Riot was talking the other way - a range INCREASE (on his W, I believe). If anything, this game will just tell them not to do it. With Xayah, Rakan is extremely strong, since he gets the bonus E range - without Xayah, that E range is halved, making the plays like what happened in that game incredibly hard to pull off.

I think the nerfs to Xayah are 100% going through now, but I doubt that Rakan is going to get nerfed because of that game. They might nerf the synergy between the two (lessen the bonus E distance), but he's not going to get hit on his base kit too much, if at all.

I haven't seen too much of either Rakan or Xayah; 2 games in solo Q and now with CLG. I think for Rakan yeah, his mile long ability will most likely be nerfed or so, another is Xayah having a root 1sec which in game feels like a decade while also having an untargetable ability while casting is annoying - OP ...... not sure what's OP in League anymore. If anything cooldowns or something wimpy will be the nerf or just a tiny bit of dmg reduction, but nothing major most likely.

Neither really need nerfs though. They're both balanced. Meddler stated he's buffing Rakan though (E CD) and nerfing Xayah (being able to auto during Q so she can't just Q-AA-E for root and the W number of pellets or whatever). IDK.
