im not sure about top/jungle, but mid and bot are the strongest they could get. this is their BEST chance ever. and since eu lcs got fucked i have to root for tsm aswell. if they dont make it out of groups this worlds, they never will
Worst Kench NA3 votesNA will never win worlds. The skill gap between Korea (and maybe China) and the rest of the world is too large. NA doesn't have the embedded culture in society for it either, therefore, the drive isn't there. It's the same in CS too. Sure, there's Faze, but their roster is all european and the skill gap between NA and EU isn't as pronounced as the League KR vs. everyone else gap.
In a culture where you're a celebrity vs a culture where you're just a dude playing video games, the former will always triumph in terms of motivation. Nothing short of the absolute best players and divine intervention will allow for an NA worlds win.

If we're looking at it, then on paper the current roster is the safest one they've had in a while where they should be able to win games without taking too many risks (zven/mithy being the "anti-DL"). That being said, if bjerg doesn't step up massively this year and actually "do" something with these players then many people other than me will be calling him a froggen clone due to not being able to carry outside of niche circumstances.

Spârky1 votesI will say i think it will be a C9 vs TSM finals again but honestly I think C9 will have the advantage because of the jungle and adc. I think sneaky's play style with smoothie is a perfect counter to what zven and mithy do. Sneaky and smoothie are good at soaking pressure where I have seen that if zven and mithy don't snowball they are just average bot lane. their strength is getting a lead and sneaky and smoothie are good at not falling behind. Just my opinion

My eyes will be on Bjergsen to actually "try" to do something on the International stage, instead of shifting the blame on less talented players as well as from the fans. This is Bjergsen's time to actually show not only to the other International players that he belongs in their skill cap but also to the fans. Bjergsen has no more excuses for not actually winning or getting close to winning anything on the International stage.
Any fans who think teams that have 40+ min games win or lose are bad should be very interested in this next split with TSM as Zven and Mithy are a bit better overall than say Double and Bio but they're games historically have been around that 40+ mins, not to mention besides that great MSI performance they too have a history of underachieving on the International stage.

If eu and na merge I think we have a chance. The more realistic option is if NA continues to absorb top eu and korean talent then we might have a chance.
People focus too much on individual teams and less on the over all health of the league. If the bottom 7 teams are strong then it forces the top teams to improve to stay on top. When the bottom 7 teams are weak then the top teams coast by with out having their flaws exposed.
I was super excited when echo fox picked up huni not because I'm an EF fan, but because it will force every single top laner in NA to improve or get stomped just as he forced this when he was on fnatic in eu and imt in na. I really hope an NA team is able to get pray and gorilla at some point for that exact same reason.
Tsm has a strong roster, but so does clg, tl and I'm a fan of 100t wildcard. I don't think tsm's roster will dominate NA like our #1 teams have done in some splits in the past. I think spring will be a really tight race for number one.

The problem with "absorbing" is honestly right now players are only leaving to join NA because of A.) Stability and B.) $ - That's it! I think for the Western teams they know they won't ever be able to beat Korea or China in any meaningful way or stage in League.
For example with $ look at NBA with teams such as the Pacers 2011-2014 they faced Miami like twice and got close to beating them both times with the same core of players. Did they try to beat the Heat again or grow their talent for a few more years? - Nope why, because most of the players heard about more $ elsewhere, so they left. Same thing here. Players coming to NA don't give a S$it about winning and putting in the work for 5-9 months 60+ games to hold up a plastic trophy and $1 million dollars if they can just lay back and play casually and get bank close to $1 million anyways.
The problem with Huni is that he's 1 dimensional: talented yes, but if he doesn't get camped by his jungler he just drifts and often times explodes with his own foolish playstyle at times. When he was on Fnatic Reignover camped the holy F out of him constantly, especially in the Spring split 2015. Summer 0f 2015 he was honestly a burden to the team with his farm, careless style that even tho the 18-0 was great even the 9th-7th place, gauntlet miracle C9 took a game off them at Worlds because of Huni's late-game decisions " Where's Huni, ok, he's farming wraiths, now he's farming grugs, now he's getting blue, now.... now....." while FNC were stuck in the mud waiting for him.
87(games) 395(kills) 297(deaths) 708(assists) 21,893(cs) I believe are Huni's stats with NA/EU teams Great overall stats but once the (NA) playoffs start he can have those regular season stats as he hasn't ever done anything within the Playoffs but get eliminated in the second round. Reminds me of James Harden kinda

Dude, you are some weeks behind on news,Vizi and Hylissang are staying in EU. Vizi is officially in Schalke 04 that was the first team in EU to reveal their full roster weeks ago, and Hylissang is almost confirmed to be the new FNC support replacing Jesiz (Romain even answered to the rumors after OpTic roster was announced saying that he promised to UOLdad - UOL owner, Sheepy's gather - when he left that he wouldn't have gone after UOL players when he was going to build the first OpTic roster) EU got Nisqy back too, and while I don't have a super high opinion on him, he is certainly not slouch (not worse than Origen's version of PoE).
So no, EU and NA are not merged yet luckily for NA native players, otherwise less than 10 guys from NA would be in LCS
