Why Is The World Championship So Unpredictable This Year?

I like how exciting the worlds currently are and how unpredictable it is. On the other hand, I'm just sitting here, trying to figure out what the fuck even happened and why it happened.

EU is absolute trash atm compared to the other regions - but why? Why is NA suddenly so good, why is Korea starting to struggle? And how on Earth is a Russian Team that no one knew before stomping everyone so hard? I never heard anything from the region before except for Alex Ich, for the longest time I didn't even know they had their own Server. But now they are showing up out of nowhere with insane macro plays and super high mechanical play and I just can't figure out where all that came from.

If you are someone who is following the Russian LCS, the LCK and every other Region aswell as what the previous Worlds have looked like, I'd just like some kind of explanation, or at least try it. As a German I'm shocked at EU's current performance and I just want to know what they did wrong and what everyone else did right.

I think that certain teams get used to a specific play style, pattern, and mindset. When G2 plays in EU, they play reckless and they get away without because they tend to be the better mechanical team.

CLG is always inconsistent. Splice and h2k are playing at their level

Players are actually laning now instead of lane-swapping.

That has to be an adjustment.
