any chance we'll get a caster who's a different gender or ethnicity?

Thanks for adding Ovilee because man, aside from Ovilee, all the analysts and casters look and sound very similar in NA.

While I don't mind watching Raz and Froskurinn and Sjokz, they're not NA LCS and we only really get to see them cover NA games, strats, and teams at MSI and Worlds.

It's not that hard to find a person with a heritage tracing back to Asia or India or Africa, etc .... or a person who's a gender other than male, who likes League and can comment on the game at a socially-competent level, with a good understanding of macro and micro play.

Please please add someone new and different to the roster. It would mean a lot to a whole bunch of kids watching the broadcast, hoping that someone who looks and acts like them has as much a chance at being a pro caster as the white males who currently are employed at your studio.

I don't have a problem if they get someone with that criteria, but I don't like the idea of getting someone because of that criteria.

The problem is that Rito made the mistake of choosing the same type of caster in NA. Whether on purpose or not.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you're suggesting that a person of color or cisfemale or transperson would get a "free pass" if they got hired because of who they are, and not their abilities or their work experience or their energy/enthusiasm or game knowledge.

While it's nice to think the world is based on abilities ... aka based on merit and individual qualifications, the sad reality is that very few people are judged based on how much they deserve the job.

Maybe you were hired based on your qualifications (I say this theoretically for the sake of argument). Or maybe your friend was.

But not all of the world is so lucky.

How do you suggest that we correct the lack of women, lack of LGBT folk, lack of diversity, etc. on the air currently?

Right now, Ovilee's the only girl on the Couch, the Dive, the Analyst Desk, the Lounge, and so forth.

The true reality is if you're more qualified you're going to get the job. It's 2018, and as much as people like to say blacks and gays etc. are at a disadvantage it's just not true. Frankly it's offensive that you're suggesting we need casters of different ethnicities to fill some sort of liberal agenda. What the fuck does it matter, black, white, asian, at the end of the day we're all human. I'm aware of how cliche that sounds but it's the truth. Unfortunately in America we're not all equal, as there are systems in place that non-whites, however in terms of League of Legends casting this is not the case.

I understand that you want to represent other ethnicities, but it's really not that big a deal honestly. There's more to casters than just color, and someone shouldn't be picked for the position over another just because of the way they were born. Most of the casters are currently fan favorites anyway, and adding more would mess with the flow of commentary or just upset people who already have a favorite.

Just imagine for a second, though, that you're not you with your opinions, and your preferences ...

It doesn't matter to every black person. To every trans person. To every ciswoman. And so forth.

But it does matter to some.

If it's truly no big deal to you, and no skin off your back, and you really couldn't care either way .... then surely you'd be more in support of change.

Rather than advocating, as you are currently, for keeping things exactly the same.

You say you're not speaking for every person of color, when in fact that's exactly what you are doing when you're like "the overhelming majority agree with me or don't see it or don't care" and "I have a little bit of authority."

I'm black, so I think I have a little bit of authority when I say it doesn't matter so much to see a majority of white people casting. Do I speak for every black person? No, but the majority (and overwhelming majority, at that) choose to not see skin or genuinely just don't care. My point is, and I'll leave you with this:

Skin and sexual orientation do not define a person. You can argue that it represents diversity, but if you truly want to live in an accepting world, then things like this won't come up in normal conversation, because most people don't care (not in a negative way.) Stop paying so much attention to the colors on your screen and focus on the people. Have a nice day.

The sheer fact that he's suggesting that we need racial variety in every aspect of life proves he's a racist posing as someone who advocates for "equality." The true non-racists are those who choose to ignore color and not talk about. I like Morgan Freeman's quote of how to end racism by not talking about it.

I have to say...it really doesn't matter. I am African and I don't give a damn. I love the casters as long as they are not bigots. And these guys seem to know the game alot. If there is a vacancy then yh, if there is someone from a different appearance that meets the part yh they could consider. But I don't want an addition and I certainly don't want someone getting fired over 'diversity'.

You need to stop being blind-sighted to certain agendas.

And can someone tell me if Ovilee is truly a girl...cuz damn she is sooooo fucking hot! And I don't wanna have the hots for a guy lol!
