why did you mess up Karma on the Brasil MSI shirt?
Awww, Riot, I'm disappointed with the Brasil MSI shirts for this year.
I mean, I understand art and style and exaggeration, since I'm an artist myself ... but you lightened Karma's skin tone to make her look like she's an East Asian person.
I'm an East Asian person.
I main Karma precisely because she's a strong and capable dark-skinned woman in a fantasy-inspired gaming world that has precious few beautiful champions who look like her.
I bought the Conqueror Karma skin immediately. I will not be buying the t-shirt, much to my dismay and regret.
Making Lucian all black and white for the Vancouver shirts is AWESOME!
But using a limited 3 tone color palette (gold, white, red) for the Brasil shirts and giving Karma a highly inaccurate skin tone as result is unacceptable, in my opinion.
You are sending a message to young gamers that Beyonce/Halle Berry skin tones are beautiful, and worthy of representation on a piece of clothing ... Meanwhile, a richer chocolate skin tone is something that the graphics printer cannot possibly register?
I do not believe it is a problem with the printer at all. The Project Ekko shirt turned out amazing.
NOTE: I'm also waiting for an Ezreal shirt, as he is the other champion I main ... but Ezreal, being a white, blonde-haired, green-eyed person, will not encounter quite the amount of sadness and frustration over his skin tone as might the spiritual leader of Ionia.
Please consider carefully your shirt designs for next year.
